Beer-House & Craft Kitchen — Restaurant in Vilnius

I’m updating my original review after my third and final visit to this place and will leave it below for reference to illustrate how thing could have gone so wrong with this place in several months.

The four of us visited this place yesterday and had the worst dining experience in almost a year in Vilnius.

It took the waiter 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. Beer is noticeably (50-70 ml) under poured every time. When I told the waiter about it he said it was not his fault and was not even going to offer to fix this until I told him that was part of his job.

We got three orders of food and were waiting for the fourth one to be served but there was no indication anything else was coming and our food was getting cold. They finally brought the last order about 10-15 minutes later.

We had three servings of Duck Breast that I so praised in my first review and it was a disaster this time. The fourth order was potato pancakes with salmon and it was burned beyond being edible and the salmon was dry and seemed old. When we informed the waiter about that, he said that once again it was not his fault and had no intention to do anything about it, so had to be lectured again about what customer service is and what the food he serves should look like.

I’m not ever coming back and do not recommend this place to anyone else.

Original review: Excellent service and great selection of beers. My friend had Duck Breast with Tangerines, which was amazing, while the medium-rare beef burger I ordered was well done and was not that good.

Very cool place, service was good, burger was alright, fries were the worst.

The burger patty was incredibly compact, small, and edged on the sides, frozen patty? It was dry and there was no meaty chewiness. The bun was standard.

The fries must be one of the worst I have had. Badly fried (old oil) which is usually ok, but the fries had a very dry inner texture. There was salt... on a couple fries and on specific parts or the fries, so it was basically unsalted fries. I was not served or offered ketchup and salt to use on the fries. This is the first time in Vilnius I experienced this.

I had high hopes because of what was being said in the reviews. Either I was just unlucky with my experience, or there is something with the reviews.

I can recommend for beer, but not the food that comes...

Never had such a roller coasters experience in any dining ever. Waited 20min to be served, then went myself to the bar to get beer and waited another 15min to finally get menu. There were around 10 table filled tops, so not mad busy. Had to wait for food another 1,5h. When I went to grab another beer to the bar all the waiters were standing around inside!!! Why they are not checking on clients? 3rd time bartender did not serve me and asked to order through waiter, but he was standing next to bartender and did not know that he was even serving me. So we were 3 at the bar, waiter, me and bartender and I had to ask waiter to ask bartender to pour me beer. Are you serious?! ALL 2 stars are going to the kitchen because food was superb!
