We came here for a family lunch during the second day of CNY and I have to say the food has improved a lot compared to last year.
Buffet lunch price on 26th Jan 2020: RM88/adult and senior citizen RM44/child
As good as the food was, there were some undeniable problems. The service started out alright but its problems soon became obvious, such as:
Some waiter and waitress here have an awareness of a zombie. A waitress collected some of our dirty plates(not all) and didn’t even hear 3 of us calling her as she was walking away. The staffs here do not re-fill drinks for customers A waiter was collecting our plates and accidentally spilt some of the food liquid on the plate onto my pants. Worst of all, he didn’t even realise his mistake and just walked away.
Towards the end, things became unpleasant when the environment turned noisy due to loud inconsiderate customers from several tables.
Overall, the food here still warrants a visit again in the future but I would prefer to choose a place with a...
Read moreI recently had breakfast at Café Jen as part of my hotel stay, and overall, it was a pleasant experience! 🍽️ The breakfast spread was quite good, offering a variety of items—from local Malaysian favorites to Western options. The food was fresh, and there was enough selection to keep things interesting. 😋
The dining area was clean and neatly arranged, making for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The layout was well-organized, and the staff maintained the space efficiently. 👍
However, while the service was efficient, it could have been warmer and more lively 😕. The staff were professional but didn’t go out of their way to engage with guests, which could have made the experience feel more welcoming. A little more hospitality and enthusiasm would elevate the dining experience!
Final verdict: A solid breakfast option with a good spread and a clean setting, but service could be more personable. 4⭐
Would I return? Yes, but with hopes for friendlier service...
Read moreHad our high school reunion there a couple weeks ago, booked onto their weekend seafood buffet (usual price RM96).
Would comment that the choices of food were slightly limited although their dessert line up is quite alright. There were a few live station ~ pasta and grilled meat and seafood while there is a self-prepared assam laksa and cendol.
Food taste is just ok ~ nothing to shout about. I would say their grilled section would probably be the highlight of my meal there or maybe the limited bowl of seafood shellout which consisted of a slipper lobster, scallops, mussels and crab.
Beverage wise they had bandung, icewater, tea and a few choices of coffee, latte, espresso, etc.
Atmosphere was ok ~ nice and quiet, apart from our big group, there were maybe just another two or three small tables occupied
Parking was slight a hassle but probably because they had a function in their ballroom that night.
Overall thought ~ not worth the...
