This is my first time shopping at Jaya Grocer because it's a great place to find ingredients that aren't available in regular supermarkets. However, my experience with one particular cashier (name listed on the receipt as Rozilah) was extremely disappointing.
She made an unnecessary and inappropriate comment about one of the items I purchased – Chicken Apple Sausage. She said, "Eh, ni BABI ke, tapi awak pakai tudung," while handling the sausage in a way that seemed disgusted. I found this incredibly disrespectful. The sausage is clearly halal, and as a fellow Muslim, I expect more respect. Her comment was rude and offensive. As a cashier, she should be knowledgeable about which products are halal and which are not, instead of making inappropriate remarks to customers' faces.
In addition, she made another unnecessary remark about the total amount I spent (RM81.35 for 5 items), giving me a look as if I couldn’t afford to buy these products. It felt very judgmental and uncalled for.
I hope you take serious action regarding this matter. Rozilah needs to learn how to engage with customers in a professional and respectful manner. Her poor attitude and rude comments reflect badly on your store's customer service. I strongly suggest she be given proper training on how to interact with customers, as her behavior was completely unacceptable for someone in a frontline position.
Her "mulut celupar" behavior should not be tolerated in...
Read moreHonestly, this is my first time browsing/shopped at Jaya Grocer. I was at Mt Austin and had some time on hand, thus I've decided to drop in. It was a very late evening visit and am so glad that a parking happens to be available at building entrance.
I like the cleaned trolleys and availability of hand sanitisers & gloves, if needed, at the outlet entrance.
The shopping enviroment is comforting as the area is clean and displays are neat and tidy.
Produce, fish and poultry look good and yeap they have a good range of items.
Although, I didnt really have anything in mind to purchase,.... but...oh dear... I ended up getting a few things...😅 and couple items which are not on my regular shopping list too.
Definately will make a trip here again in the future once a while. Cant be my regular grocery pit stop as its way...
Read moreI have always like Jaya Grocer in Austin. But the recent episode where a lady shopper spend more than 10mins opening up multiple NZ apple packaging (ziplock) to select and swap the apples are terrible uncomforting. The sad reality is that I attempted to inform at least 5 staff including the supervisor looking one, at the cashier side about this behaviour. The lady even place an extra apple to her final selected package! My question is, why is your staff refusing to confront the lady and requested her to stop? We will not buy any more products that can be opened at Jaya Grocer. Such indifference by your...
