KOMTAR JBCC — Attraction in Johor

At around 8pm on July 10 2023, the cleaner were cleaning the toilet during business hours, the toilet light was not working, it was dark, I walked in and fall down my knee get hurt.

Mr. Fikir is the management involved in my incident case, Mr. Fikir and his company management are very unprofessional, irresponsible and rude.

As I mentioned to the management Mr. Fikir, I have a knee injured. He never took any immediate action and I stood infront of the toilet for over 30 minutes before a cleaner pulled me aside and sat down.

I'm very surprised that the management Mr. Fikir also took pictures of my face without my permission, as a management, he doesn't know what is PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act / Akta Perlindungan Data Peribadi in Malay). I saw Mr. Fikir took a picture of my face, I asked him to retake or remove my face, he tricked me into taking only the part where my knee hurt. I WAS LIKE, WHAT THE HELL!!!

I waited for more than an hour, but the management Mr Fikir did not give me any help or compensation, and the management Mr Fikir also said that they would not be responsible for this incident.

Hence, my conclusion is my knee has sequelae or has deteriorated after this incident, and I will go to court sue you and...

CAR PARK IS A SCAM!

Due to the construction near the car park entrance, the road there has become confusing without proper signage and will mislead you into entering their car park, with no way to reverse or turn elsewhere.

You would think that it's fine as you can just quickly exit within the parking grace period. But NO!

I immediately U-turned to exit the car park (within 10 seconds). But the machine still asked to pay the "parking" fee of RM2.12. The guards saw me enter and saw me trying to exit, but they insisted that I still had to pay. The car park management is even worse, very rude attitude and even throwing insults. The guy did not even try hide the fact that they are trying to rip off people who are unwillingly misled into their car park.

He expressly stated that even though people are forced to enter their car park due to the confusion caused by the construction and did not actually use their car park, they would still want to charge these people simply because they can. I wonder how many people do they rip off every day. Metro Parking, how shameless can you be?

Called Komtar customer service and they simply said the car park is under Metro Parking and there is nothing they can...

Komtar mall is quiet mall beside city square near JB CIQ mall which is often overlooked by tourists. But actually there’s a lot of shopping and some dining in that mall. Less crowded than City Square Mall.

There’s marks & Spencer’s, Watsons, guardian, kiehl’s, bath & body works, some clothing shops , shoe shops etc, macdonald’s, Tony Roma, 4 fingers chicken, hotpot, some Japanese restaurant, cookies etc. there’s always some event discount sales in the atrium which has pretty good promotions.

the downside is - no grocery shop (the one on the top floor is like closing / moving out, no business / lack of goods) - if they can get a good grocery supermarket, I think it will attract more shoppers.

Worst thing actually is the poor condition of the toilets. The ceiling was leaking!!? And the floor tiles popping up?! And out of 5-6 cubicles only 1 was functioning so everyone had to line up. After that time in the second level toilet, we got afraid of them. They should really upgrade the toilets to attract more customers. It looks like a “high end” mall as compared to city square.
