I have to agree with some of the comments here—haha, it's definitely a bit overrated and too touristy for my taste. Somehow, this spot doesn't live up to my expectations. Despite being the most famous street in Ipoh, it's hard to say that it truly represents the entire city.

Ipoh has a unique colonial charm, shaped by its significance during the "Silver Mining Era of Malaya" under British rule. The city's rich history and heritage can be felt throughout, but this particular street doesn’t quite capture the essence of what makes Ipoh special. Not that it's a bad thing—this could be one of those places you have to visit at least once in your lifetime. It's a spot where you can pick up souvenirs and other touristy items.

Kuma Cheese Bread and Platform 9 1/2 are probably where the crowd starts to gather, and they are definitely worth trying out. These spots are popular for a reason, offering delicious treats and a...

Something different for a change. Small quaint lane which reminds me of Johor Bahru, Melaka and other parts of Malaysia in the 60s and 70s. Good restaurants along the way.

Tried the 'Wawasan chendol' kiosk aka 'chendol abang kacak'and it was superbly good..as in the chendol. The dude was okay looking.

Had lunch at 'Pekan lama' restaurant. Good food and reasonably priced as well. The Sunquick Blackcurrant drink brought back memories of the past. Though, readily available in shops, never had it for years.

Stumbled upon a book shop called X-Cess. Stumped that there was a Yasmin Ahmad tribute section downstairs. A good job done by the book owner. Lots of photos and poster of Yasmin Ahmad. Bought her book called ' How you know?' again. Not looking forward to reading the last page. So sad. Great book for you if love...

✨ Concubine Lane, Ipoh ✨

One of the most famous attractions in Ipoh old town 🏙️. The lane is full of life with colourful shops, street food 🍡, local snacks 🥤, souvenirs 🛍️ and vibrant murals 🎨. It’s always lively, especially on weekends, with many tourists walking around.

A perfect place for photography 📸, exploring heritage buildings 🏛️, and enjoying the unique vibes of Ipoh. You can find cute cafes ☕, desserts 🍨, and local street treats that make the visit even more enjoyable.

It can get a bit crowded during peak hours 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️, but that’s also part of the fun atmosphere. The lane connects easily to other attractions like Plan B restaurant and Lorong Seni, so it’s convenient to explore all in one go 👍.

If you’re in Ipoh, Concubine Lane is definitely a...
