Receipt No S438250026376
Visited Ikea Damasara, they ask me to order online I went back home, ordered online as the staff at their outlet suggested
Called 03 79527575 , select delivery , got hung up Called 03 79527575 , select delivery , got hung up Called 03 79527575 , select something else , got though, then they manually "forward me to delivery"
*Seems their call system have problems. So if you select on phone to connect to Delivery , it will auto hang you up instead of connecting
When I finally got though the person gave me another number as the delivery is handled by another department (I think another sub-con company) and I should call the department.
Called 03 7728 5444 , someone pickup but got hung up Called 03 7728 5444 , someone pickup , said he will check and call me back in 5 minutes After 20 minutes Called 03 7728 5444 , someone pickup , said change of shift , I need to explain again, she will check and call me back in 5 minutes Receive a call, but got hung up Called 03 7728 5444 , someone pickup , send me delivery person** number (its a mobile number), ask me to talk to the person
Called mobile number , the guy say he is not sure, ask me to call the customer service number (the first number I call)
Called 03 7728 5444 , again , someone pickup , say she will check and will call me back in 5 minutes Receive a call, this time got though , said the "morning delivery schedule" have been changed to *"afternoon delivery schedule"
By the way, the deliver person didnt show up for "afternoon delivery"
Called 03 7728 5444 , again , someone pickup , pass me to another person or department The other person/department pickup , say not sure , and I need to check with the delivery person**
So at this point of time, neither me, the customer service, or the various delivery department have no clue when they could deliver

Read moreVisiting IKEA Damansara is always an exciting experience, especially for those looking to refresh their living space with modern, functional, and affordable furniture. The store is massive, offering an extensive selection of home essentials, from stylish sofas and dining sets to compact storage solutions and kitchenware. I appreciate how the showroom is arranged beautifully, allowing shoppers to visualize how different pieces fit together in a home setting. It’s a great place to find inspiration and discover creative ways to make the most of any space.
One of the best things about IKEA is its affordability and quality balance. While some items may seem slightly expensive, most products offer value for money, with smart designs that maximize functionality. The self-service warehouse makes it easy to collect items, and most of their furniture is flat-packed, making transportation more manageable. However, the assembly process can sometimes be tricky, requiring time and effort, especially for larger pieces.
Another highlight is their restaurant and food market, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. It’s almost impossible to leave without grabbing a plate of Swedish meatballs, salmon dishes, or their famous soft-serve ice cream. Their food is affordable and delicious, making it a perfect break during long shopping trips.
However, shopping at IKEA Damansara isn’t always smooth. The store gets extremely crowded on weekends and public holidays, making it difficult to navigate and enjoy browsing. Long checkout lines and limited parking during peak hours can be frustrating, so visiting on a weekday morning is the best way to have a relaxed experience.
Overall, IKEA Damansara is a must-visit for home improvement lovers, offering a wide range of stylish and functional products at reasonable prices. While the crowds and DIY assembly can be drawbacks, the variety and affordability make it...
Read moreComplaint Regarding Staff Miscommunication and Loyalty Point Redemption
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred on 30 August at around 10:32 p.m. at your store.
During my transaction at the counter, I was served by Staff Cashier Counter No. 16, Ms. A. She asked me if I would like to collect points, to which I clearly answered yes. However, she proceeded to show me the screen and asked again. I noticed that the option displayed was related to redemption, not collection. I was shocked, immediately and repeatedly said “no, no, no” and hold her body, but despite my objection, she pressed the redemption button in front of me.
I said I don’t want redeem my points and wish to have a refund on the sales.
She said cannot. This is totally unacceptable.
As a result, my points were wrongly redeemed. I requested that this be checked on CCTV for verification.
Following this, I went to the Customer Service counter, where I was assisted by Mr. K. He mentioned that he could not resolve the matter directly and proceeded to call another staff member, whom I understand is named Ida. After their discussion, I was compensated with a RM29 gift card. While I appreciate this, I also specifically asked whether my points could be reinstated to my account. Kamaru confirmed that it could be done.
I humbly request: That my points be restored to my account as promised. That an explanation be given as to why my clear refusal of redemption was ignored, despite me repeatedly saying “no.”
This incident has caused unnecessary inconvenience, and I sincerely hope IKEA Malaysia will take corrective measures to ensure better staff communication and customer handling in the future.
I look forward to your reply and resolution on this...
