We saw that Friday was the day you could enter this place free of charge so after a late lunch we decided to go and have a look (it WAS a Friday) as we went to go in there were three grubby looking middle aged humans in dirty uniforms, who decided that today they were going to make some money on tourists, so planted themselves outside to “police” the entrance, as all the people around us with the correct clothing on or judged to be “Moroccan “ entered free of charge, (unsure how this was verified other than by looks and skin shade) we were told that for us to enter it would be 80 dh, which is a lie as it’s normally 60 according to the website. We argued the toss for a while as one of the “guards” blocked us from entering, then left disgusted with how these so called officials, (which we don’t think they were) were trying to shaft us, note to them they are doing nothing for tourism in their country. If you want people to enjoy their stay in your country don’t treat them like second rate citizens, Up until now our experience has been “ok”in this country, but this little showdown seems to be reflective of a while society of so called, God fearing people more than ready to lie cheat and steal their way along life.

Thanks for a bad taste after an otherwise enjoyable day.

For the tourists take the advice of others and skip this and save your money...
