We had been staying for 3 days in Hanmer and didn't know about the fairy walk until day 4 when we were leaving. A lovely lady selling ice-cream told us about them. So when our 2 cars were all packed up and ready to leave, we drove down Bath St where the lady said to go, and again couldn't see any signs to direct us to the right walk way to start the walk to see the fairy houses. Read moreIt's a very cute place. The walk starts behind the Top 10 Holiday Park, at the end of Bath st, turn right, across the creek, pass the small wooden bridge.
It's a loop, it takes about 15 minutes to go through the loop, 40 mins if walking from and to town. A very easy walk. It says no mountain biking on this walk. The path can be a bit muddy when it rains but it has just been filled with gravel so it's not that bad, the distinct white gravel colour makes it easy to navigate.
