Don't be fooled by the exterior, this is no ordinary dairy/mini-mart. It is the best place for brunch in Hanmer Springs, especially if you have picky children. The French Toast is perfectly presented with bacon, banana, and berry compote on top, along with maple syrup and whipped cream. The barista coffee was good too. If the kids want a burger, or a pie or fries instead (like ours did!) then they can have it! There are even vegan Chick'n pies. There are also 'McMuffins', a range of wraps, rice balls, and donuts, and even Twinkies! If you missed a visit to the Lolly Pit, there is a corner dedicated to lollies for the kids to pick a few treats for the ride home. Read moreWe were on the hunt for some bacon and came across The Log Cabin, discovered a wonder inside. Pretty much everything you need or want exists in this shop. From a cooked full english breakfast too grocery items and everything in between; fish and chips, milkshakes, even a kite for the kids or ponchos for the unexpected rain! We ended up getting a delicious pizza, it was hands down the best we have had our whole stay (on a cheeky side note it was also the cheapest). Here in Hanmer Springs is the very BEST blue cod, not just myself, but my husband both AGREED it’s the “best thing I ever ate” . We will be making sure to get a couple more meals of your amazing blue cod before we leave here.
