Clean well kept and looked after point, interesting to read about the shipwreck history, tranquil and time passes with the oceans sounds and foraging and creations made on the beach, never leave your children to play alone in water as there are strong currents, I noticed myself & never turn your back on the ocean. Here you can enjoy the undisrupted view of Hokitika River, the beach and the ocean, more importantly, the crowd here is way lesser. There's a shipwrecks memorial, also makes it a great photography location.
