A must visit if you are in Hokitika!! Owen & Pina are the best host we have met in our entire trip! We went for lunch and Pina was so nice to cooked us some mussel pasta when I mentioned seeing some photos on Google maps. Every dish was delicious, and Owen makes the best coffee! They are both so warmth and made us feel at home. I would recommend everyone to have a meal there. And if I ever get the chance to head back to NZ, I will surely pay them a visit. Oh, you will surely enjoy the awesome views from their cafe too!

A charming little café located near the sea, run by a wonderful and kind couple who make you feel right at home. They prepare everything with love, and Lisa’s pastries are absolutely amazing! We also loved the coffee made by Owen. It was such a special experience. We hope to see you again soon, maybe in Melbourne, or perhaps we’ll meet again in Hokitika. Wonderful Experience with a marvelous friendly service with lots of smiles. Great Menu and it's a café that gives you a lot of genuine love and service. It's just two of them managing the Cafe, and they do a fantastic job. It's a café that makes you feel at home and cared for. Highly Recommend for trying this awesome Cafe.....I definitely be back in the near future. Thanks for bringing a magnificent Cafe to the coast. The dish I had was delicious....as photo below

The Hoki Boatshed Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm smiles of Owen and Pina, who truly make you feel at home. Their friendly and welcoming nature sets the perfect tone for a delightful experience.

The coffee here is simply outstanding—some of the best I’ve ever had! Pair it with one of their delicious cakes, and you’re in for a treat. The decor of the cafe is charming and inviting, making it a cozy spot to relax and enjoy your meal.

If you find yourself in Hokitika or anywhere nearby, this cafe is an absolute must-visit! We originally planned to stay for just a few minutes but ended up enjoying the conversation

Wonderful experience at this tiny and cute cafe in Hokitika. The owner Owen and Pina went above and beyond to ensure our experience was unforgettable. Owen made a special coffee when he found out my husband has gastric issue, and Pina brought out fairy bread for my little one who always had trouble eating breakfast.
