Very fun and exciting experience! Most of the stuff there was made for some movies Weta are making internally rather than Lord of the Rings, etc but the experience was actually very fun and exciting for it.
Animatronics, bigatures, props and loads of other fun stuff to look at. Our guide Rachel was very funny, enthusiastic and friendly and not only did a great job navigating us through the various rooms and explaining what's on store (all of which you can look at and explore at your leisure while you're in them) but also was happy to answer any and all direct questions and personally show off some of the props in the exhibits.
Considering what's on show and the amount of time and attention given by the guide, the Weta Unleashed tour is great value for money. Highly...
Read moreDon’t come here expecting to see movie effects from any of the actual Weta movies (Lotr, hobbit, chappie, avatar, ghost in the shell, etc.). This is more of a general show and tell experience given over 2+ hours where you sorta get to see some of the techniques made in making some of the special effects. They show these special effects through a tour guide (ala Disney jungle cruise) via three made up new concept ”movies” that would never be green lit by any studio ever. So if you go in with very low expectations and care more about the how rather than the what where when and why, then sure, this place has what you need. Otherwise, it’s a fine way to waste 2+ hours...

She was great with the kids, went the extra mile even helping talk to my baby when she started getting unsettled, really entertaining.
