Bad incident happened with me, I came across highly unprofessional and untrained security guards. Me and my friends came to “the Glass Goose” for a party organised by Verve entertainment. Although, party was well organised and we were enjoying it. But, it begin to destroy when I took off my heels as I was quite uncomfortable but their one of guard came to me and asked me for to wore it. I wore it then he told me for to leave even I was not drunk. When I was trying to talk with him, he was very rude, disrespectful and unmannered with me. Secondly, when I accepted for to leave and I ask for my belongings (like my jacket, phone and id) which I kept near to dance floor but he didn’t listen and he put me out. While standing outside I was asking them again and again (there were other guards too) but they were not letting me take my belongings which is unacceptable, how person can go home without their phone (specially)and without other important things.. then I asked from one of verve organiser for a help, he gave me his phone so I can call my friends. After long calling, I got my things back and my one of another friend she came out for fresh air but after sometime when she was going in and their one of guard didn’t let her in and they forcefully took out verve wristbands from our wrist. Which is very unprofessional as we were outside own our space and it is not their job for to touch us. There were other people outside who were the facing same issues. I am highly not considering this place specifically for an organisers and “the people” who want to hire this place for parties as you will end up with unprofessional, unpeaceful and disrespectful...

Firstly I will start by explaining that we came on new years Eve and knew it would be busy. We made our way to the bar and managed to order easily enough so I got a beer and ordered a cocktail from tiger menu for my wife. We were handed a number and told the cocktail would find us when it was ready. We took up a place by the corner and waited. After 15 minutes we moved over to the bar area and placed the number on the bar as a chair had become available. It was then that we realised there were many others with numbers waiting for drinks and a couple near us who had been waiting for an hour and were just ordering other drinks while they waited. Asking the wait staff was hopeless as they just pointed to a area of the bar where a backlog of cocktails seemed to be taking ask age to make. Having waited 40 minutes our cocktail finally arrived which was coincidentally just as the beer I was nursing ran out.

If only the staff had explained there was a long delay when we ordered and given the option to change drinks it would have at least made for a good experience. The lack of care and the inability to cope with the volumes suggests they should have just stopped offering cocktails. What was taking was that most tables were starting to order whole bottles of wine add one guy said he couldn't be bothered with trying to get the attention of staff for drinks as they didn't really serve on any kind of order.

I've been here before with work and we liked the experience, based on last night I won't be taking my staff anywhere near this...

Cute little place hidden in the alley beside the sky tower. Had the potato gnocchi with smoked feta, kale pesto and hazelnuts for main. They were tasty but I found the mushroom overpowered the dish, especially for not being listed on the menu.

A side of duck fat potatoes will always go down well, the Glass Goose was no different. Loved the addition of rosemary and garlic aioli (like hello??), heaven. You hardly want to share them with the table.

Desert, however, was by far the highlight of the night; chocolate marquis with freeze dried raspberries, brownies and vanilla ice cream. Lovers of rich cacao and decadence don’t even glance at the rest of the list. Would come back just for this.

The spiced apple mocktail was nice enough for one but not a second. My main comment being it felt imbalanced, enjoyable at first but less as the drink went on.

Overall very pleasant experience, beautiful rooftop style deck with flattering lighting and a comfortably loud/quiet environment. Side note: the bathroom is stunning. A candle going and exceptionally clean. Had a very soft and elegant attitude. The older ones at the table found the outside metal chairs a bit uncomfortable, but most would be fine with them.

Would come back to try some more of the sharing plates if we were...

We dined at The Glass Goose after work for August Restaurant Month and this was a new place for me to try. Upon entering the restaurant bar upstairs, the space is remarkable with a natural outdoor to indoor flow with stylish natural wood and warm leather interiors set amidst glass accents with intimate soft lighting. The service staff was impressive from entering being most inviting and readily engaging. Our server was simply exceptional as she was warm, bubbly, informative and very attentive. This amplified an already positive dining experience. We ordered Pinot Noir and mocktails to accompany their 3 course Restaurant Month menu of an entree selection of crumbed pork belly, chilli Wagyu beef lettuce cup and Warehou croquette. The stand out were the beef and pork for gorgeous textures and moorish flavour. Following on, we enjoyed the mouth watering pan roasted Snapper on smoked kumara purée with choy sum and finished up with chocolate marquis with freeze dried raspberry and vanilla ice cream. Our meals were delightful and satisfying. The overall dining experience was amazing with a relaxed ambiance, The Glass Goose was the perfect mid week post work spot to indulge in some memorable cuisine. Highly recommended with distinction!

Had very nice late Valentine's here. We ordered the wagyu beef short ribs and lamb shoulder as mains and a variety of shared plates. The short ribs were a little bland but that may have been because the clams had quite a salty butter sauce on them and desensitized me to the more subtle flavour, however when i dipped the short ribs in the remainder of the clam sauce it tasted very nice. The service was very good and staff came at the correct time to take our orders, bring our food and clear our plates. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. My only complaints are that it's definitely a special occasion place and not a place most people could afford to go to regularly. The proportions are not super generous, you would be looking at $160 to $180 for two people if you wanted a satisfying level of food with a drink each. My final complaint is that something here gave my wife terrible wind, celebrating our late Valentine's when your wife can't stop farting isn't quite as pleasant as it could have been, and the level of emissions may have extinction rebellion protesting on our doorstep.
