Spent 30mins having pit stop bite and refreshment. That's what this location is. As nicely decorated it is, it's not a place to hang out. Spaces between seats very narrow. Many staff behind the counter, none came out to floor to clear tables. Expect customers to clear tables but has no place for them to put dirty ware. One tiny end of counter spot that's less than 20cm wide for you to collect your beverage with a mini chalk board sign saying 'don't leave dirty cups here'.
Big Health & Safety risk as they do not offer trays, or proper saucers for your big bowl cups.
Had the crayfish sandwich. No cutlery offered. Try squeezing the juice from a lemon slice with your fingers 🙄 when it should of been a lemon wedge. It's picky detail but the lemon juice makes the crayfish taste better. You pay enough for the food, surely they can afford a lemon wedge and not a slither of a decorative lemon slice.
Not ergonomically designed cafe. More like deli style with big island table stocked with wide selection of coffee pouches for sale on floor and behind the counter.
Very limited sandwich selection. Biggest shortfall - no WiFi.
It's an office workers cafe, definitely not a cafe for chilling a bit.
You'll find many better elsewhere... eg. Library cafe around the corner. More food selection and has WiFi for...
Read moreWe visited Oslo from September 5 to 7 and happened to find this cozy café. It is located near the Oslo Opera House and the central library, close to the main attractions of the city. We decided to try their latte, and we really enjoyed it. Over the days, we visited the café several times and had coffee both inside and outside. The weather was excellent, with sunshine, making it especially pleasant to enjoy coffee outdoors.
When we ordered the latte, we were asked whether we preferred regular or oat milk. The latte is served in large cups that resemble bowls and do not have handles. As a result, holding them can be a bit inconvenient since the cups are quite hot. It would be great if they used cups with handles. The latte with one shot of coffee costs 50 Norwegian kroner, while the one with two shots costs 55 Norwegian kroner. When you get your latte, you add sugar to taste.
The staff was very kind and attentive throughout our visits, and it was always pleasant to interact with them. Otherwise, the latte was smooth and very enjoyable. The café also sells their own products and fresh baked goods. We will definitely visit again if we...
Read moreMy favorite coffee shop and Kaffebrenneriet in Oslo!! The baristas are so sweet and friendly, the coffee is delicious and sustainably sourced, and the location is perfect- right near the harbor. The prices are the most fair in Oslo as well, especially for high quality coffee. I love that they switch their filter coffee roasts each day so there's always a new one to try, and they give discounts for bringing your own mug. Their bagged coffee is fantastic for brewing at home, too. ...
