I struggle giving anything above four stars.. 3.5 is more realistic. For the most part, the staff are very kind and helpful. Front desk manager leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Think holiday inn.. Not a bid deal, but my Hilton status was clearly ignored, as they wanted to charge us for water at checkin. Felt like I was negotiating a used car.. The other party behind us with impeccable Spanish made a big deal out of it stating: “180 USD doesn’t get you two bottles” Either way it was quite funny.. we all got “drinkable water” in the end 🤣 Breakfast was fabulous as was the octopus appetizer and pisco sour we had in the evening. Rooms could be refreshed but are still comfortable and clean. The hotel is what I expected, as I read the reviews on Google. Many of the reviews are quite accurate. Loud rock music till 11pm on the weekend, but a couple melatonin’s will get ü through that :) Our room was in the 4th floor facing “the River” and a few homes as per my photos. Hey, your in the Amazon and not Aspen, so just go with it. Our friends overlooked the main square and they heard the continual noise from motorists, but again, we came here for the experience. Overall 3.5 stars seems right to me :/

I had a great time at this hotel! I went to iquitos for work matters hence I barely stepped out the facilities; the staff was very helpful and kind, everyone at all time (I was a bit grumpy one morning because of the wifi connection and the Manager helped me to get a better connection). The rooms are comfortable and fresh, you will have A/C which you will really need. Regarding the food; It's a 8/10 mainly because of my specific needs, if you are more into the "regular" hotel food my guess is that you will hive it a 10. My only complaint which I can't really complain about because I was communicated ex-ante is about the pool (maintenance during my stay). Also, I think a hotel like this MUST have at least a couple more equipments in the gym. Hope to see you soon, guys Cheers

You will not get any rest at this hotel. I regrettably did not check the reviews before I booked here because I trust(ed) the Hilton name and have been between a silver and diamond member over the last 4 years. But if you read the reviews, you will find I have nothing different to say, but that has obviously not been addressed by management despite all these public complaints. It is 1044pm and I am in bed trying to sleep, but cannot, because they have a super loud live band playing downstairs. Which wouldn't be a huge problem except the hotel is open in the middle all the way up to the roof and all rooms open into this space, which is basically the lobby. I can hear the band over my TV despite turning the volume up. I've put blankets around me door to block the sound with no success. I called the front desk and they said the music won't be over until midnight. So apparently nobody in this hotel is falling asleep before midnight tonight. Who cares if I have to get up early right? Such a disappointment, especially for a Hilton. I don't know who approved this, but nobody wants to hear all this noise from inside their hotel room during their vacation after traveling long distances! They legit have drums and guitars tonight and singing/yelling rock music. Last night it was a saxophone. This is a horrible idea, I'm really upset, and I will be speaking with a member of management tomorrow. I came here for rest! 😡 In addition, the shower water doesn't get hot. And you have to go to the bar if you want anything to drink, even a bottle of water. Can it be midnight already?? 😡

We came in for a couple of drinks and snacks to soak up a bit of 'civilisation' after 3 days on a cargo boat across the Amazon. The style and design of the bar is very nice and has a welcoming atmosphere. Some of the cocktails we had were delicious (pisco sour, Jacky). Some feedback: the maki rolls were good but not spectacular (the menu said crab maki, while it was clearly surimi). There are some typos in the English menu, which could be easily corrected if a native English speaker would proof read. The deserts were hit and miss. We had caramel creme brulee, brownie with ice cream and the maracuya cheesecake. No one disliked their deserts, but no one was blown away neither. Nothing upsetting, we enjoyed our visit.. but for a Hilton hotel one expects perfection.

I was so disappointed by the room that I forgot to take pictures of it. Courteous personnel. However, my Gold status was clearly ignored. Not even a bottle of water in the room. No upgrade. No free breakfast. Until I asked the day after at reception for an explanation. They pointed the lack of experience from the receptionist which I didn't really appreciate. I'd rather valued proactivity refunding the bottles of water, breakfast and proposing upgrade. I asked for the refunds, which I obtained. I did not bother about the upgrade. Rooms could be refreshed but are still comfortable and clean. The hotel is less than I expected, but again, you shouldn't face any big issue. Last, avoid views to the main place as noise could impede you too rest.

First time in Iquitos and we stayed at the Doubletree Hilton. The check-in staff were great, the room was nice - ours faced the Plaza de Armas and the traffic noise was steady through the night, but it wasn’t a bother; in fact it was rather soothing. We had dinner on arrival: Food was good, service was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was also good and plentiful - eggs to order and buffet style extras. Again, the see ice was great. Hotel location is ideal - you can chill at Plaza de Armas and people or moto-taxi watch, hit a Scotiabank ATM (within a couple of blocks) for cash, have a cafe or helado nearby, or wander aimlessly in the area. The Doubletree exceeded our expectations, in particular for the amazing staff.
