Im a solo female traveler & was recommended to this place because it is ayahuasca retreat friendly & it is very affordable. An ayahuasca friendly restaurant Dawn on the Amazon is really close by which is great! Beware of sitting outside or you’ll be meet with lots of peddlers. There are rooms with AC & w/o but I highly suggest the AC room because it is really hot during this time & perhaps all year round. I am giving 2* because of the “free taxi service” that was very manipulative. I arrived in IQT airport & saw my name held up with a sign by a man in white who I thought was my taxi driver. He helped me with my bags & led me to a car that was his friends & asked me for tip. After exchanging soles in the USA, my smallest bill was 20 sole & reluctantly gave him that & my retreat host said he ripped me off because he should have only gotten 1 sole for a few seconds of carrying my bag. **TIPS ARE 1 to 5 soles depending on quality service!!! Then my taxi driver David G. was quite sociable & ayahuasca experienced & I had also needed to pay 20 sole but felt more reasonable. But while driving in the car he subtlety began to switch gears & show me videos about a girl he took to Belen Market, showed her to do hapè there at some stall & implied I should take his tour. Politely I declined but during my stay he was on standby right in front of the hotel & was pushing & catcalling me unprofessionally & I really was disgusted & uncomfortable to the point that upon my return from my retreat I cancelled my booking here to go to a woman friendly hotel 5 blocks away from here towards the center...

If hearing people from all directions at all times of the night spitting, using the bathroom, flushing with water gushing through your walls, dragging chairs around and generally talking loudly outside your room, and a nightclub directly next door with pouring music all night long, this is the place for you. ||The staff are great and the place is super clean and very well decorated. ||The rooms are good for a solo person but would be cramped with any more and no bathroom door. The room has a musty kind of smell too which was fine after that initial sniff. Plenty of local people stay here with foreigners mostly on weekends. ||Location is central and an easy walk to most places or you could take advantage of the Moto taxis directly outside who are waiting to take advantage of you. ||Overall the noise and the sound of humans all around is the reason for my low stars. If I wanted to sleep in a hostel with a shower curtain separating me I would have. This place is really beautiful though and I feel very safe here. If only they had some insulation in...

Service is to the point. Clean. Option to purchase breakfast. Reasonably priced. Nice lounge areas. Overall, great staff. Emailed them for reservations and they were prompt. They made it easy. ||||Don't expect room service type stuff. If you need something like a towel, ask but be persistent. ||||I give them a five because even after we came back from our journey to the Amazon, a few friends were staying there so we had our things in their room while we waited to go to the airport. We asked the front desk if we could schedule a taxi ride to the airport, one of the employees resisted but the other person scheduled it with no problem. This was the extra touch that made the holistic approach to our experience here. I would go back. ||||Our retreat center, Gaia Tree, recommended them. Thank...

Centrally located with lovely staff. Also well priced. Unfortunately the main issue was the room - ours smelt of mould and we needed to spend a good hour or two trying to ventilate it. Bathroom tile grout also needs a good clean as there were black stained areas. There were also gaps in the fly screen so we had to shut windows to stop mosquitos flying in at night. WiFi connection was also very patchy. Our room was located downstairs next to the common kitchenette so we were disturbed early in the morning with people using the kitchen. Rooms are also facing a central courtyard space and walkways so you don't really have privacy. I was only here for one night. I would not book here again.

This hotel had exactly what I wanted as an American traveling on a budget but still wanting to feel comfortable. The outdoor character of the place (typical of Peru) helps you remember that you are in the jungle, but the AC in the room works great, so you can get an escape from the heat. Clean, well maintained, and a nice little continental breakfast included that you can enjoy next to the pool. Also nice and quiet at night! The young man at the desk was quite sharp and gave good advice. A few blocks away from the main boulevard, which is enough to escape the tourist traps. A very good, clean, nice, and down to earth kind of place to stay.
