Amzei Market — Attraction in Bucharest

Located in the city center, Piata Amzei it was supposed to be a grocery market, being one of the most well known in Bucharest. It was renovated a few years ago, but after reopening in 2013 it wasn't a success (mostly because of the high renting prices, therefore expensive products). Now is more like a museum, like is labeled on google maps, than a grocery market. I suppose that it is still waiting for projects, for new opportunities and a better future. The place is looking very well after the renovation, being spatios, naturally lighten and welcoming overall. In the summer of 2016 it hosted the main exhibition of the Romanian Design week. I think the space is very proper for this type of events and Piata Amzei could very well become a cultural centre...

Well maintained and organized, has nothing to do with the old setup of this location. Plenty of parking slots, easy to reach, clean, many options for shopping for food, bars & pubs, Coffee shops and restaurants. In proximity of Calea Victoriei represents another advantage for...

Sorry to say this, but it was the most disappointing 'market' ever visited. There are only 10 shops or so. Fruits, veggies, flowers, and silver stuff. That was it...it took 25 mins to walk from the city center, but it wasn't worth visiting. Only good for locals to...
