Zoological Museum — Attraction in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Utterly GIGANTIC collection of preserved and taxidermy mammals, birds, fish, insects and everything else. It even has eggs, nests, and other cool stuff. A lot (most, if not all) of the exhibits are clearly quite old, which for some (me), adds a new dimension of interest, but it is also apparent that age has decayed some of the examples here. A very nice experience both for the kids and for adults as well. We visited on a Sunday and it wasn't caused crowded at all (just us and another family). Even if some stuffed animals were not in a good shape, the kids liked to see how they look in real life and to see their real size. Some animals and insects looked like they were alive. E un muzeu care merita vizitat odata, dar caruia ii trebuie aduse imbunatatiri. Biletul pentru adulti e 8 lei. Domnul de la intrare ne-a explicat ca in prima parte e camera nevertebratelor, iar in a doua cea a vertebratelor, unele expuse in habitatul lor - diorama. Am ajuns cu o jumatate de ora inainte de inchidere, asa ca n-am putut examina tot. Fluturii sunt superbi si gandaceii colorati mi-au placut. Mai sunt si cateva cochilii frumoase. In rest, tot ce era impaiat sau in formol, presupun ca e ok pentru cei orientati spre stiinta. Eu obisnuiesc sa vad frumosul in arte, asa ca a fost ciudat pentru mine si usor trist. Insectele pareau infipte cu grija pe panouri, insa gura caprioarei impaiate mi s-a parut exagerat pictata (cred) cu negru, limba ii era deja sfaramicioasa. Citisem un alt review in care scria ca unele exponate sunt vechi de un sfert de secol. In plus, la subsol, desi nu am stiut si nimeni nu ne-a zis, era si un vivarium. Ma gandesc ca ar putea cere mai multi bani la intrare, dar sa reconditioneze sau sa scoata unele exponate. Plus luminile din tavan, se reflectau in vitrini si majoritatea pozelor au iesit cu patrate de lumina in ele, in loc sa se vada...
