Incredibly impressive and important exhibition about what Yugoslavia felt during the 90s that was obviously the time of the breakup and war in former Yugoslavia. It provides an educated and well balanced view in a country that suffers heavily from nationalistic tendencies and thus is important to reflect on one's own perspective on the world. As a German I was very moved to see how this region fell apart whilst we enjoyed the forming of the European Union. It made me humble and grateful. Many people should see this and remember how lucky we are to have peace in Europe. We should preserve it!

An intimate and immersive museum that takes you through the 1990s in the Balkans — with authentic objects, rare photos, and TV footage, all presented in both English and Serbian. You explore at your own pace, which gives the space a quiet, almost personal feel — like stepping into someone’s private archive. Whether you're a local feeling nostalgic or a visitor trying to understand the region’s complex history, the stories will stay with you. Don’t skip the 90s-themed gift shop for meaningful souvenirs, or the cozy garden café to cool off and reflect.

I really enjoyed this museum and think the overall concept is great. It offers a lot to learn, especially for those unfamiliar with the region’s history. However, I felt the exhibition was a bit too small and lacked more personal stories and lived experiences from the 1990s. Compared to similar museums or memorial spaces across the former Yugoslavia, this one still feels like it’s missing some depth and emotional connection. That said, it’s a solid starting point — thoughtful, engaging, and definitely worth a visit.

One of the most authentic museum concepts in Belgrade and beyond, the Museum of the 1990s centers around its permanent exhibition, The Labyrinth of the 90s. Designed as a physical maze, the exhibition is divided into several rooms, each exploring a distinct theme—from political propaganda and economic collapse to war, violence, and, despite everything, moments of everyday life and ordinary human joy. Grounded in historical research, the displays combine original artifacts with artistic interpretations. Worth visiting—and returning to...
