Dear travelers, they don’t even deserve a star from me. I highly recommend you NOT to book this hotel in Belgrad.
Here is my experience: I booked a double room for May 20-25th in January already. The room rate was about €500 for 5 nights including breakfast. Nothing happened in between, nobody contacted me saying that my credit card isn’t valid. Two weeks (this morning on 7.5) before our trip to Belgrad, I got a notification from where I booked the room saying that my card is invalid. So I immediately updated the cvv code. Some hours later, I suddenly received an other notification again from Public House, this time is a cancellation. What the xxxk? I immediately checked the room rate, It is €1300+!!!! I contacted the hotel, they said my card is invalid. I told them if they sent me notification telling me that the card doesn’t work, after my update, did they check the card again? They never sent me any email telling me that what the situation is, they just canceled the booking, what kind of customer service is it? I really suspected that the room rate is now very high, obviously they could earn more than double at the same period, why not to use this trick? So watch out, this hotel doesn’t care their guests, what kind of customer service is it? How could they treat the tourists? I already feel bad about Serbia now, hope it will change mind soon. So again, find somewhere...
Read moreThe location was perfect for me: close to the sights and the old city, there was a 24-hour shop right around the corner, and different bus stops were also available on foot. A busy street was behind the window, but it didn't bother me, because I used the climate control in the room and the window was closed all the time. I stayed in a standart single room, it had enough space and high ceilings - one could easily joggle with five objects in there :) It was clean and cosy but sometimes I noticed dust in the corners. There were hygiene kit of cotton pads, swabs, nail file and also shampoo, body milk, shower gel and a cap. A nice addition - kettle, but there wasn't a socket nearby the table so I had to place it on the chait in the middle of the room or even on the floor... The same thing is about the sockets nearby the bed - none. However, there were a lot of cups and plates. Also the minibar was full of beverages (for charge). What bothered me mostly - clothes ironing was also available only as a paid service. Ok, I won't go broke, but after I got my shirt back it was not ironed enough, I would do it better. On the counter - one of the best things - breakfast. Various, delicious and served till 11 a.m. I wish I could taste all the items! Also staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English. So, I consider it as a not perfect but a quite good place to stay with a...
Read moreVery very friendly receptionists, both in the morning and evening. Very good recommendations on restaurants, places to visit and transport to get there. They know the area well! Breakfast is amazing, variety of selection and different options every day. Nice environment both inside the restaurant and in the conservatory, where the hot dishes are served. The room is nicely decorated. I have a room with separate stairs. The room in itself is separated from the rest to the hotel so I don’t hear any noise from neighbours, but I assume they would have a pretty good job at isolating noise. The room decoration is modern, plenty of amenities including separate bottles of shower gels, shampoo and body lotion (and even slippers!). Can’t take these for granted anymore in hotels. Location is excellent, ten-minute walk from the touristic area (eg. Republic square), plenty of options for buses and trolley buses around. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when I go to...
