First impression: I arrive early to capture my beach chair before the Germans, so around 5am but I look around, beach very nice, sand very sandy and hard to find spot for towel, because I think I landed in lost German colony.
Toilet is disaster, sand, pee and no paper makes for stinky smell…but lucky no one wants to use so you have for your self.
Red people everywhere. Not just little red, crazy lobster red, like boiled alive in sangria. Many big people and much plastic like. Man has wrinkles like picture of mountain side, bellies hang out like they swallowed baby. I think maybe buffet is too cheap on Tenerife.
Water? Salty like ex-wife’s attitude. Sun? Aggressive, like grandma with sandal. I forget sunscreen too so, now I look like paprika with legs. But strong paprika!
Good place to hit on women. Many tourists open to local experience, and by local I mean me. I say You want hiking tour of real Tenerife? and boom romantic walk behind Spar supermarket near beach.
Also: street salesmen, very professional and friendly. The sell all you need so bring nothing to beach.
Bonus is they all know me so they give best price for you, my friend…even if you no ask price, they already give discount. One man sell me sunglasses, bracelet, towel, blanket, massage and original Louis V shirt, maybe not original but I wear it anyway,...
Read moreLovely beach, preferred it it to Duque. We arrived at a car park about 500 metres away-plenty of local car parks and shops to investigate! Once we reached the beach, it was fairly busy but not crammed like Duque. There were rentable sunbeds but we didn't bother, even camping on the grass fringe at the rear of the beach instead of on the sand with the majority of others. The sand was fine and a beautiful colour and the sea was crystal clear-even more so than Duque. The waves were more ripples as there were breakers out from the shore. The water was amazing and refreshing to swim in although as precautions for children the seabed does drop quite steeply after a few metres and the adjacent (easy to wonder to) neighbouring beach has much stronger waves. There were some facilities on the beach, including a café. I think the final selling point over Duque was the street vendors: they were far more respectful and were not in multitudes. Certainly...
Read moreNever have I ever spent such a delightful eavening which was exacly what happened when I went to "Los Cristianos" beach in Tenerife with a summer camp. The water was really crystalclear which made me feel totally over the moon after I jumped in. As far as positives go it is hard to single out just one as there were too meny higlights which made my experience truly memorable but if I had to choose one off the top of my head I would say that playing volleyball on the shore was the most enjoyable activity. When it comes to downsides, it is far from easy to find one as visiting Los Cristianos beach was as perfect as any daytriper could ask for but the only negative aspect is the fact that the beach was crowded, so there wasn't much spave on it. Finally, in my view the sooner you can menage to visit this stunning place the better, as I'm sure that it will make your day. What are you...
