It looks like this place used to serve Italian food and now they do Thai and Japanese cuisine. We were there twice because it’s simply nicer to sit than the other Thai restaurant in the area. The cooks are Thai and very accommodating. We tasted their Padthai, Pad Kaprao, Laab Ped, Pad See Ew, Panang Gai and Somtam with shrimps. We were still perplexed about the size of the sliced chicken. I don’t get how people can actually fit it in their mouth gracefully 😂. The winner that hit closest to home was Laab Ped, second runner up was Panang Gai. Our least favorite was Pad Kaprao that somehow missed a few keys. They used green onions instead of Chinese chives in Padthai (they’re not exactly interchangeable) and the sauce needed some more of tamarind mousse in it to balance out the sweetness. Napa cabbage, bok choi, cauliflower or carrot should not be used for Pad See Ew. The most acceptable substitute for Chinese broccoli is common broccoli. But most Thai restaurants in foreign countries love to toss a lot of not-belong-in-there veggies into almost all of the dishes to boost volume. I find that off-putting but also understand where they’re coming from. If you happen to feel like Thai food by the beach then you should give them a visit. Again, another restaurant that vat is not included in the price displayed on the menu. So, you do the math. ถึงบางจานออกไปทางอาหารตามสั่งบนเกาะหลีเป๊ะ แต่ทุกจานรสชาติดีกว่าร้านอาหารไทยที่สุวรรณภูมิแน่นอน 😂...
Read moreWe came past this place yesterday 1st Sept 2025 and decided to come back this evening 2nd Sept for dinner we were seated quickly our drinks order was taken and our drinks arrived ameretto sours they were undrinkable nothing like what I have had dozens of times before so they remade them still undrinkable but I didn't want to complain again so thought we would just leave the drinks. We ordered out food. My husband has a starter I didn't not long after his starter and the mains came out together (I wasn't fussed as I was hungry ) we order rice and they brought noddles so they changed it quickly no problem then I looked at my husband's food and noticed he ordered beef and got chicken I had a pad gra paw with beef that's should be basil chilli (🥵) but had no heat at all . Then noticed them bring our food to the table behind they had given the wrong food to the wrong table . I pointed it out that we had the wrong food the people behind didn't want our food . And the staff didn't seem to care . In the end we asked for the bill without the main course as we didn't order or eat it . They still charged us for the drinks we didn't have it cost 25€ for satey chicken starter . Such a shame as the kitchen seem to work hard but the table staff don't seem to pay attention or care about...
Read moreWent here yesterday with a group of 8 people. Enough seating options available and we had a nice view of the open kitchen. The kitchen looked clean and organized. The kitchen had clean fat filters and no food items on the ground. Also the cooks wore hairnets/caps and one had gloves on. Fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Toilets were clean and had a food safety/ pest control sticker.
The food (starters, main courses and dessert) tasted good and authentic. With semi-fresh ingredients. This is what you expect from a thai restaurant.
Some minor points for improvement: the peanut sauce with the sateh was a bit cold. Hot would tast much better. the pad krapow was made with chicken filet and was not minced meat. And there was a lot of other vegetables what should not be in the original pad krapow. It should mainly just be minced meat and holy basil. on the first page of the menu card was a advertisement of different fruity gin-tonic mixes. When ordering this, the waiter told us that these drinks were not available. Why is this in the menu?
Overall this is a decent thai restaurant. Would...
