I booked two days at Puro Beach expecting a premium pool club where I could relax, enjoy cocktails, and listen to music by the pool, as their website photos and description suggest. What I actually found was the complete opposite – it felt like a daycare center.
There were children everywhere, running around, jumping, and not only taking over the kids’ pool but also the main adult pool. It was impossible to enter the pool without being hit by balls constantly thrown around. At one point, I was lying on my sunbed and got hit by a ball. Children were also running around with water guns, splashing everyone around. This is absolutely not what I expected when booking what was advertised as a premium beach club.
I had to speak with the manager to cancel my second day, since the experience was completely misrepresented. Although they did cancel the second day, I was not offered any kind of compensation for the first day, nor even a simple gesture like a bottle of water to make up for the inconvenience. The way the situation was handled was unacceptable.
On top of that, the atmosphere was far from premium. Next to me was a large group of British girls who spent the entire day drinking rosé and shots of tequila at the same time being loud and shouting across the pool. A waiter/manager openly flirted with them all day long, which only made the situation worse – it looked cheap and unprofessional, and certainly not what you would expect at a supposed high-end beach club.
Facilities are also disappointing. If you’re hoping to sunbathe in the morning, be aware that the sun doesn’t reach the terrace until after noon, since the club is located on a second floor surrounded by tall buildings that block the light. The sunbeds are old and dirty; they’re made of white faux leather, but when you touch them, pieces of the material literally come off in your hands. The children’s pool water was yellow and looked filthy, and while the main pool seemed cleaner, the edges and overall look were clearly old and worn out.
I also want to add that I paid €95 for a single sunbed, and this price includes nothing except the old, worn-out lounger itself. There is no food credit or deposit included. They advertise that it comes with a smoothie, but in reality, what they serve is just a ridiculous “smoothie shot” – a sip in a tiny glass – along with a small bottle of water and a handful of nuts.
In short: if you want a relaxing, premium beach club experience, forget about it. Puro Beach was chaotic, noisy, dirty, and absolutely not worth the price. 95€ -...
Read moreGenerally a pretty disappointing experience. We were expecting a beach club, not a hotel pool with kids running around and jumping into a basically dirty pool.
We needed to ask the staff to put the music on, and when the music eventually did come on, it was not the vibe we were expecting (more like lift music!).
We paid EUR 1500 for the Moet cabana. And I can confirm that the value for money is terrible. Essentially, all you get for the money is a EUR 290 bottle of champagne (which was lovely!). When we booked online, it showed that all the other cabanas were booked out, but when we got there the place was empty except for a couple of families with kids by the pool. I feel like we could have just booked a regular sunbed, and used the other free cabanas and saved ourselves a lot of cash!
We were not given the fruit platters that were included until we complained (and then it was implied that these were "on the house", when in fact they were supposed to be included in the EUR 1500 cost). The water and smoothies on arrival were pathetic: a tiny shot of watery smoothie, 2 packets of crisps, and 2 half litre bottles of water. Not exactly sufficient for 6 people paying so much money.
We did complain on the day, and were offered a bottle of Cava to compensate. We rejected the Cava and instead asked for champagne, which we did get on the house, but it was a bit of a weak response, to be honest, considering the EUR 1500 we had already paid, plus in the end we spent a further EUR 800 on drinks and food.
The one star is for Jose Luis, our server, who was exceptional, and really saved the day. He was super attentive and always there when we were ready to order more drinks.
All in all, most definitely not the pool party we were expecting, and I consider it to be a real waste of money. We wont be choosing Puro Beach for our next pool party celebration, and will make sure we do better research next time to avoid repeat disappointment.

Read moreWe visited Purobeach Hilton Barcelona as local residents hosting two friends from abroad, specifically choosing this venue because of the promised adult-focused environment. Their own website states clearly that pool use is limited to those over 16 (I’ve attached a screenshot as proof).
Unfortunately, what we encountered was more like a kids' summer camp than a premium adult beach club. Children were dive-bombing, screaming, and dominating both the main and shallow pools. Many guests, including us, were forced out of the water due to the noise. At times it felt completely out of control.
We had paid €300 for premium poolside beds expecting a relaxing and sophisticated experience. What we got was anything but.
We raised the issue with management, who initially agreed the day was "unusual" and said it’s not typically like this. However, when he returned later, he changed his story completely and said this is normal now and that offering us another day would be pointless, as it would likely be the same. In short—they no longer follow their own policy and don’t take accountability for it.
We were offered a drink or some chicken dipoers as compensation, but considering the €300 fee, a pretty weak gesture.
We left extremely disappointed—and to top it off, were billed for 3 soft drinks despite everything - around 15 euros for 3 diet cokes.
If you’re expecting a premium, adult beach club as their website and branding suggest—don’t be fooled. This venue is not what it claims to be. They either need to enforce their stated policies or be honest that they now operate as a family-friendly pool.
We gave them multiple chances to resolve the issue politely and privately, but nothing was done. Sharing this here so others don’t make the same mistake.
Added irony - I even left my 14 year old at home to abide by the rules.
Great place if you want a family setting, awful if looking...
