we went to this restaurant on our very first night in Barcelona, and unfortunately decided to stay and eat. the service was very poor, things such as plates and glasses not getting cleared away when finished, however they were attempted to be taken when some of our party were still eating, and when asked to wait they left our table alone for over 20minutes and were rude and blunt throughout. the food was okay but not worth the €80 bill for pasta and pizza for 4. tasteless and boring would be some of the words used to describe said food. other issues include small problems, such as a wine bottle and after asking for a pepper grinder, they were put on the table but me and the rest of my party were expected to pour/grind, a small issue but annoying nonetheless. there was also a service charge put in the table which frankly should have been paid directly to me as I feel I took it upon myself to do the majority of the service for our party. I highly doubt I will be returning unless for some reason I feel the need to be disappointed and spend the night annoyed at spending money on something which would have been better from a take away/ street kitchen. if you would like and appreciate mediocrity then by all means visit this restaurant, but there must be thousands of better places to eat in Barcelona in which you may feel money would be better spent. after saying all of this, the wine...
Read moreUnfortunately I didn't have the chance to taste the food, so I can only comment on the service, on Sat aug 19 about 9.20 pm, I walked in with my daugther, first we waited about 7 min before anyone approached us, while waiters were moving all around and simply ignoring us. Finally a lady took us to a table, at the table we have experience the same . waiters were moving all around us, and we were simply ignored. I walked over to one of the waiters and asked if we could place an order, the reply was, it is the other lady secretion, and she pointed out another waitress, I approach that waiters and her reply it is not me, and pointed back at the First Lady. to cut the story short, we didn't received any service and we were totally ignored. So we got up and left the table, on the way out I have told the lady who has taken us to the table, that there was no service, and her reply was to wave me away. My last night in Barcelona, shame that we had to experience such poor service. maybe they don't like foreigners at this place, however there were plenty around. I hope the owner of the place will read the comment, and check the attitude of the stuff. It seems as the cooks are working hard, but the waiters and service personal seems on...
Read moreI had a mixed experience here. The service was excellent and all of my friends had really nice food. But... my pizza was so overcooked/undercooked that it was inedible. Everyone had a small slice, but the crust was so dry that it just crumbled into dust when touched and the melanzana on top was so overcooked that it was basically just dry, paper-like discs sitting on top of rubbery cheese. The weird part is that while the outside was overcooked and like dry paper, the middle part of the pizza was actually undercooked... about 40% the base was still raw dough on top. quite an achievement.
Also, they only had two types of beer, one a really syrupy, unpleasant tap lager that is sold as San Miguel but gives me the impression of unbranded "restaurant beer"; the other some kind of (expensive) red ale that came in tiny bottles. Fairly nice, but definitely an acquired taste and far too dear to drink in any quantity. Hugely disappointing.
Would not recommend, definitely will not...
