yes, the line is long. yes, it takes awhile to get to the front. yes, it's worth it. We stopped by on a weekday around 2pm and spent about 30 minutes in line, we almost left but figured hey we're already here, may as well wait. When we got to the front all the flavors were still available in the small size, so we got a classic to share and take back to the hotel. the shop is simple, a few cakes in the displays, one counter, and that's it. there's nowhere to sit inside to eat, only one bench outdoors and thats it, so ask for it to go and request spoons and napkins. The day we went there was only one girl working the counter so it took a LONG time, and she was a little slow moving as well. if there was a runner it would be quicker, but her by herself ould take the order, the payment, then walk to the back, get the cake, package it etc. there should have been at least one other person there to support and keep the line moving, but it wasnt a deal breaker. Do yourself and the rest of the people in line a favor though, and know what to ask for when you get to the counter haha the people in front of us took like 10 minutes to figure out what they wanted and honestly, when you've waited for 30-45 minutes you should know what you want by the time you get to the front of the line ;) If we had more time in the city I probably would have gone back to try another flavor (likely the dulce de leche/caramel one) but the classic was my go to for the fist (and likely only) time I'd get to try it....
Read moreLet me start off by saying this isn’t your typical cheesecake factory, actually in my point of view this isn’t a cheescake place whatsoever. 5 stars to the staff, to the stylish boutique, to the attention to details, the packaging and to the quality of the service and for the whole atmosphere, But for me this isn’t a cheescake especially as someone who grew up being familiar with sweet condensed milk recipes, for me this isn’t any different; it is packed with a lot of it, i could’t taste the cheesy crema or the softness of a good cheesecake such as uncle tetsu’s, or just a commercial cheesecake that i am used to t loblaw’s. But it is still a nice dessert to enjoy if you’re visiting…in a nice neighborhood in one of the best cities i visited; shout out to Madrid and its nice people.lots of love Oh i got the regular one and my wife the dolce lecce..couldn’t taste that much difference..again the taste of loads of condensed milk...
Read moreA total joke - we ordered a cake for a birthday one week in advance, paid by card, money was transferred, their website showed the confirmation and a booking code. Went to pick it up and they said the order got cancelled for whatever reason ("maybe payment failed") and that's it. No proposal to solve this or anything. Just lost employees repeating that it's cancelled, I should get my money back soon and no cake. Thank you for nothing.
EDIT: customer service refunded the money and I got a free cake as an apology for the system error. Hope they coach their store staff better for future situations like this. The cake was good but not worth the hype and other common brands in Madrid taste the same...
