Amazing place to spend the day in “Puerto De la Cruz” the prices are very accessible (Two adults €11) very close to downtown, shopping mall, popular beaches, and the main touristic street. The place is by the ocean with 1 big lagoon, 1 pool for kids, 1 pool for chill and 1 shallow for adult with a water fall. Most of the structure was build with volcanic rock making an awesome contrast with the “Teide” volcano btw, you can picture the mountains from your lounger. It is quiet big but get crowded after 11 am so If you plan to visit this place pack your thing a day before to get there at the time they open. The water temperature is between 20 to 24 degrees Celsius, the weather change in the north of the island, most of the time is cloudy on summer but you get sun light for shortly periods. If you get early I suggest you to choose adjustable loungers cos there are not too many and the other are flat and not that comfortable. There are two areas that can rent you sun umbrella for 2.50 and mattress to make your staying more comfortable. The pools are very clean, safe and enjoyable, lifeguards in each pool, restaurants with buffet and snack places around. There is no parking lot for this place and to park in downtown is very complicated, I suggest you to get to the mall two block far from this place called “Martianez mall” what is first hour free. Excellent place to bring the whole family or simply chill with a beer and friends. There is no WiFi in the lounge area but the restaurant has. Bring sun block, towel, hat or cap, snacks, water and goggles.

Read moreAstonishing rudeness from the guy on the gate. I arrived at 5pm to meet friends who were already inside since earlier that day. I had checked the signage on the entrance a few days before and there was nothing showing the opening hours, so on a blazing hot June day felt it was safe to assume it would be open into the evening, and possibly to enjoy the sunset. I also messaged my friends I was coming at 5pm, and they were also unaware of the apparent last entry rule of the same time. The website states opening until 7pm in Summer.
When I was refused entry on the pretext the park was closed, I asked if I could just go find my fiends to let them know I had arrived (as messages were not going through) and I was told in no uncertain terms the park was closed. As there were dozens of people still swimming and sunbathing with no signs of them moving, I asked what time they would be asked to leave and he said now, 5pm. I finally got through to my friends on the phone and they asked staff inside the park what time the park closed and they said 6pm.
Arriving at 5pm just after last entry, for a park that is still open and having to stand outside for an hour when your group is inside was frustrating, and unhelpful. I appreciate there are systems in place but the guy had a bad, almost sneering attitude, poked fun, and made me feel about an inch high. He needs a serious lesson in customer service and does a disservice to what appears, from the outside at least, to be a nice spot to...
