Our visit to Casa Museo Don Bosco was a delightful experience that offered a unique glimpse into the life and times of Don Bosco and the rich history of Ronda. The museum, housed in a beautifully preserved historic building, is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the elegant interiors, which are a blend of traditional Andalusian architecture and charming period furnishings. The rooms are beautifully curated, each telling a story of the past with a mix of art, antique furniture, and personal artifacts.
One of the highlights was the stunning garden at the back of the house, which offers breathtaking views of the El Tajo Gorge and the surrounding countryside. It’s a peaceful oasis that perfectly complements the historic ambiance of the museum.
The museum is not only a tribute to Don Bosco but also a window into the lifestyle of the Andalusian elite in the early 20th century. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing insightful information that enhanced our visit.
If you’re in Ronda, Casa Museo Don Bosco is well worth a visit. It’s a place where history, art, and nature come together to create a truly...
Read moreThis venue was a disappointing experience for our family. My wife purchased tickets for the concert and informed them that we have a 3-year-old and a 1.5-year-old. Initially, we were welcomed warmly and shown where we could exit during the concert if necessary. Once the concert began, the children did not cry but of course were not completely silent. Despite this, an elderly guest began to harass my wife and told her we should leave. Shockingly, the performer also asked us to leave. It seems this establishment needs to decide whether they want to host concerts for retirees or for the entire community. Please ensure your performers are aware of your policies before asking families to leave mid-concert. This was a truly...
Read moreWe visited on two afternoons ( Fri & Sat) during our recent trip to Ronda. The house was interesting, the garden is small but pleasant and the terrace bar quite delightful. We were attracted mostly by the peace and quiet (no cars) and the excellent views. We grabbed a shady spot and enjoyed a drink or two. They also offer three snack options of local sausage, cheeses or jamon. We only paid 2 Euro to get in. Very reasonable. We purchased some souvenirs in the gift shop. A pleasant place to while away an hour or so. Please note that our visit was in mid March. It may be rather busier in the...
