Cruceros Torre del Oro — Attraction in Seville

One of the worst boat tours, I have made in my life. Cheapest boat configuration, super old , I assume 40 years. Only plastic chairs.. The fact that this tour costs 20€ and that I see many 5 star ratings made me decide to write this here. I truly believe many 5 star ratings are bought via 3rd party providers. The money is better spend on a bus tour through the city or on a boat tour offered by small boat companies. There are def cheaper, less crowded and use smaller but moderns boats. Additionally, there is not much to see, that justifies this money. I left this tour with the gut feeling that the owners of this company are greedy, want to exploit the tourists and do not invest for ages into their boats. It is purely to maximise profits while keeping the costs as low as possible. The reason why, because they do not need to. After visiting this beautiful city, that holds up their values, culture and history, this greediness gave me a bad taste, and truly does not represent, what you find across other Sevillian enterprises and services, where quality and prices...

I read a lot of the reviews about this company on Google, many of them a little bit negative about the condition of the boat and the quality of the audio commentary. I went ahead and booked it anyway I was very pleasantly surprised by our own experience. Yes, the boat is a little old and probably could use a splash of paint in areas. Yes, the chairs are plastic and not particularly comfortable, but the tour only lasts for an hour so it was more than satisfactory for us. The quality of the audio was very good, I could hear everything that was said and found it very interesting. We got lucky and boarded first, so we ended up sitting on the front row on the upper deck, maybe that helped the audio? I would highly suggest booking the sunset cruise. Make sure you Google what time sunset occurs and I would recommend booking your tour half an hour before that time. That way you get the best of both worlds. Thought I would do this boat trip as I might get a better view & photos, but to be honest it was pretty disappointing, firstly you wait in a big queue around 4 people wide away from the boat stance for around 30min before going on board, upstairs is the better view, but there are narrow steepish stairs to get up there, there was a lady in front of me who was struggling to get up and received no assistance from staff, also a wheelchair user who had to wait till last to get on & off. Once your seated on cheap plastic garden chairs you head down the river for 10 min, turn around and head up river, all the views were either obscured by overgrown trees & growth and you only see a partial, the further you go up the more disappointing it gets, I would say the only thing I got out of this trip was a nice cool breeze.
