I was at lunch today with my son who wanted to eat sushi. Great creative sushi!! I'm glad Negishi is creating interesting sushi because they are pretty and tasty. As an Asian, the rice could be cooked better, but I'm sure this depends on who is cooking in the kitchen at the time. What disturbed me greatly and angered me was that we couldn't sit at the counter overlooking the conveyer belt, despite four seats being free. It was busy and I thought that those seats were reserved. So for obvious reasons, I didn't argue with the decision of the older female Asian serving manager. Then after a while when the restaurant was emptier, two women with their children arrive and asked to be seated at the counter. Guess what this server did - you guess it right!! She allowed them to sit at the counter. Thank goodness the young girl serving us at our table (next to the front door) was so friendly and that the good food has successfully distracted my son from his wish to be seated at the counter. I still wonder why we couldn't sit at the counter, even after the rush hour subsided. I really wish that this old Asian serving manager would never ever discriminate a customer coming in with her son wanting to sit at the counter. Don't you think that it's fun for children to sit at the counter and choose the plates that are...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service we received during my twin daughters' 15th birthday celebration at your restaurant. As sushi enthusiasts, they chose your establishment for this special occasion, and I informed the restaurant the day before about the celebration, including the fact that I would bring a birthday cake.
Upon our arrival, there was no acknowledgment of the special event. Many restaurants make an effort to add a few celebratory touches to the table, but there was nothing of the sort. When it came time to serve the birthday cake, the staff simply placed it on the table in its package after dinner, they ruined the special date of two young ladies, it was such an important day for us. I kept requesting for service and a brief celebratory song, the use of fire sticks and candles on the cake (I had already gave them all) , which is a common practice in restaurants of all levels, these requests were ignored.
This experience left me feeling very sad and disappointed. It felt as though your restaurant is more suited to be a takeaway place. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider improving your service for...
Read moreThe worst sushi I've ever had. So bad that a reasonable explanation might be that they purchase it at Coop and run it over. The fish was pre-sliced, leading to completely dry and flavorless 'sushi' and 'sashimi'. Two stars because my mixed drink was good, so I'll give credit where it's due. Also, terrible service. We ordered a round of drinks, a couple dishes, and grabbed a couple sushi train dishes. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks and sat for twenty minutes while we waited to be waited on before hailing down a different waitress for our bill. We had to ask for our bill three times and when we stood up to pay at the till (since they weren't exactly coming over to us to settle up and we saw another table pay at the till), they accosted us in the aisle as if we were going to leave without paying. Have no idea how they are rated...
