A short walk away from Geneva’s Old Town, this lovely park was such a great find! The weather was perfect for grabbing a sandwich and having it out on a park bench. Something we don’t do often enough.

As the sun was out, the weather was good and with it being summer holidays, there were a lot of families and kids around the park. Along with some groups participating in fitness activities such as yoga, tai chi, HIIT and more.

It was an interesting park, with big chess boards, plenty of benches to sit on, a cafe at the far corner as well as the famous Reformation Wall in the middle.

All in all, if you’re ever in the area, Parc des Bastions is definitely worth a visit! Bring along lunch, find a bench and sit down, breathe in the fresh air and...

Also there's a life sized chess board to try your hand against one of the locals. The restaurant nearby is very popular with the students of University of Geneva that is located too in the park opposite the Reformation Wall. Great place for...

Parc des Bastions is a green oasis in the heart of a busy metropolis. It felt like stepping into another world when you walked through the park's gates. The noise of the city faded away and was replaced by the hum of the large trees and the chirping of birds. In the cozy park you can play chess, explore the old university or just read a good book on a park bench in the shade of...
