Paragliding Interlaken GmbH — Attraction in Interlaken

Once-in-a-lifetime experience paragliding with this team here! My pilot, Chris was friendly and informative. Enjoyed my paragliding flight with him :)

If you've a large bag (eg tote bag) or even luggages, you may leave it at the base at Hoheweg. If you've selected a pick up location eg @ Interlaken West/OST, someone from their team will pick you up at the selected pick up time and will bring you to the base at Hoheweg for check-in first. After that, you and about 5 more people who'll be paragliding during your session will be transported up to the mountain top together with all your pilots in the same van.

We picked our pilots using a lottery system. However, you may choose who you'd like to fly with too if you have any preference. I would recommend Marco and Simon too, as they were very friendly and easy going as well. You'll then need to provide your name and sign on a piece of paper for insurance purposes (insurance with pilots).

Once you've arrived the top, you'd need to walk/hike for about 8 mins to the departure spot. It was an easy walk. Windbreaker is provided by your pilot, and you may store your small bag in your pilot's backpack. Departing is easy, all it takes is just for you to jog downhill and the paragliding balloon will automatically lift you up. Enjoy the amazing views up there and be sure to let your pilot know if you'd like to purchase photos & videos before flying so they can help you take more! Landing is super easy as well as you'd just need to walk a few steps. Your pilot will then show you the photos/videos and transfer them to you via airdrop etc if you'd like them. You can pay them CHF40 for it via cash (preferred as it's easier)/card. You'll also get a little souvenior of the paragliding balloon (which is made of the same fabric) for you to bring home.

Overall, it wasn't really thrilling. More of a romantic paragliding session to enjoy the view. Worth trying, especially in Interlaken as you'll get to view both the lakes and mountains.

FYI, the pilots are really responsible and they prioritize safety a lot. My paragliding session got cancelled twice due to bad weather, and I only managed to successfully do it on my third try. If it gets cancelled, they'll gladly refund you the money with no hidden charges.

Pro tip: Book your paragliding session on your first day of trip in Interlaken. If it gets cancelled due to bad weather, you'll be able to reschedule them the next day or next session (on the same day) depending on the availability. They're usually very fully booked, so make sure NOT to book it on your last day of the trip here just incase of bad weather and cancellation! I've also heard that air time early in the morning and late in the evening is usually shorter due to the lack of wind, hence it has a limit of 80kg max imposed on the customers.

Paragliding was only CHF159 in this package (usually cost CHF199) while the jetboat ride was only CHF90 (usually cost CHF109).
