My family and I had the worst experience dining here.
Our order was incorrectly taken by the waiter, Ahmed, which is a perfectly fine mistake. However, when we conveyed this, he immediately became extremely defensive, asserting that “There’s clearly a mistake here, but it’s NOT MY mistake”. After some back and forth of him insisting that we were the ones who gave the wrong orders and not wanting to replace the dishes to the correct ones, we were willing to let it go and that we’d eat the wrong dishes. Yet, he still refused to leave the table and repeatedly made passive aggressive remarks saying that we looked unhappy, yet he made no effort to correct the issue. He insisted that we pay again for the correct dishes if we wanted them replaced. The worst part of this was that the fix would have been very easy to do. He just had to add an ingredient to the dishes that were already served to correct them to what we actually ordered, but he refused to do so, all the while rudely accusing us of changing our minds when the order was served, when in reality he made a mistake while taking our order. This also showed how little the restaurant/staff cared about their customers and about being accountable for their mistakes. While we were eating, he even came back a second time to interrupt our meal and questioned why we had unhappy expressions.
He did not have any decency to admit his mistake or apologise for taking the order wrongly. After all, it should be the waiter’s responsibility to confirm the order with the diners before sending it to the kitchen - which he did not even do.
Our whole interaction with Ahmed was unpleasant, from the time that he impatiently asked us to sit the moment we entered the restaurant.
We were eager to quickly finish the food and leave the restaurant. As the cherry on top, the food was just subpar.
I’ve eaten at other restaurants in Switzerland and the rest of the region and have never had such an unpleasant experience.
It was a terrible experience and I would never visit this place again. I would not recommend this...

There was this waitress (didn't catch her name) during my time in the restaurant that soured my experience. When I told her that I wanted the bill for the meal, told me that she will get it right away. However she asked another waiter who I had not interacted with to pass me the bill which was in a hard cover book. Unknowingly, I thought he had asked me whether I wanted dessert and i mistakenly thought it was a dessert menu. With this miscommunication and waiting over 15 minutes for a bill that i thought I would receive, I asked the same waitress for the bill again to her using a condescending tone towards me saying that I did not want to pay for the meal. (Absurd) After which i clarified with her that there is a misunderstanding with how the bill was presented to me via another waiter (who was very energetic and great by the way). She proceeded to scorn at me which is very unprofessional from a waitress that is supposed to be representing a hotel/resort establishment in a touristy town like interlaken. In the end, I waited an additional 5 minutes for my bill which was presented to me by the waiter who was energetic and cordial with his customers.
Please step up your (waitress who served me) service and you are lucky that your colleague is providing good vibes and did a great job with the service recovery. Not too sure why you thought I wouldn't want to pay for a meal that I enjoyed. Have the common decency to apologise for the miscommunication and not ask another waiter to fix your mistake.
Left the restaurant angry.
Btw upon reading the reviews i can confirm that the waiter that was cordial and energetic was Mark. To you, thanks for the service it was a bright spark in a sad ending...
Read moreFirst impression of this restaurant wasn't good. We stood by the entrance and waited while the waiters walked past giving us a couple glances. Eventually we just went in and found ourselves a table.
The service here was truly disappointing. The staff were extremely difficult to get the attention of, and when they finally came to our table, Ahmed (our waiter) was shockingly rude and cold. Before I could even finish my sentence ordering a cheese fondue, he interrupted me sharply to say it couldn’t be served for one person. I politely asked him to repeat since I hadn’t heard properly, but he repeated it in an even worse tone, visibly annoyed before I had even spoken. The irony is, I wasn’t even ordering it for myself—I was ordering for multiple people. If he had let me finish instead of cutting me off, he would have realized that.
His attitude stunned the whole table and completely ruined the mood. We ended up ordering just the fondue and a couple of small items instead of the full meal we had originally planned, and left as soon as we finished.
It's not like he was having a bad day, he seemed glad to serve multiple other tables in the restaurant
On top of that, the general service was chaotic. It was impossible to get the attention of the waiters... basic things like utensils, extra napkins were a struggle to get. It was annoying having to try 3-4 times to get any sort of attention from the staff at this restaurant.
The food on the other hand was great and reasonably priced.
Atmosphere as well was great, with live piano music playing and a comfortable seating patio area with more down...
