Ristorante e Pizzeria Sapori — Restaurant in Interlaken

I’m a kid, and I went with my family to this amazing restaurant. Please read this till the end so you can find out about all that is amazing here. I have so many good things to say. First of all, the location is perfect, right in the city Center, making it convenient for everyone to go there. Make sure you leave a reservation first though! Secondly, the food was top tier, the beef tartare being the best quality I have ever had, and I have went to lots of fancy restaurants but this has to be the best one. We also had the beef carpaccio, which was spectacular, the beef was cut perfectly thin, the toppings and seasoning just right. For our mains we had forgot the name pizza, I’m a kid so I look at details, not titles, I just remember it had pepperoni, tomato sauce, truffle, cheese, and something something. Anyways, it was really delicious and I really loved it. The other main we had was the veal and mushroom tagliatelle, I think that’s how it’s spelled? Owner please tell me if it’s right when you see this so I can get an A in English. Back to the subject, the tagliatelle? Al Dante, perfectly cooked, the meat was flavourful and the mushrooms were good quality. We ended off the night with tiramisu and chocolate mousse. This is the part that truly fascinates the taste buds and the eye. The presentation was perfect, and the taste was heavenly, it was the best tiramisu I ever had, and the mousse too was crunchy and not too sweet. Lastly, the service was marvellous, OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT THIS PART IS A MUST READ PLEASE LOOK AT THIS. You have the best service I have seen in Switzerland, you’re literally making all the other restaurants look bad! I would like to give a special compliment to Aldrej, the guy from Czechoslovakia, he is such a good person, I would love to see him get a promotion to manager or head waiter, because he is spectacular at his job. He handles the order taking, serving, questioning, and everything in the indoor section, just amazing! I asked him for 10 minutes about what to pick and he never got impatient, I love this guy! The atmosphere is great too, the vibe is nice and the dining room is beautiful. If you like good food and the best dining experience in Switzerland, come here! And that is my review of Sapori. So here are some of what we have experienced when we came to this restaurant for dinner:

👎🏻 we felt unwelcomed at all

👎🏻we had to wait for around 10 minutes so someone can give us some attention to hand us the menu!! Even though I have called them and they ignored me and their staff are extremely rasict! Note: I am muslim wearing a scarf. After waiting and waiting one of their staff finally showed up and gave me the menu!

👎🏻 so it was not only for us, still they have treated an arab family badly, they made them wait to get seated even though there were enough tables indoor and outdoor! So us as foreigners especially from outside europe are not welcomed at this place!

👎🏻 we got the bill, the price was fine. We have placed our credit card on the bill and we also had to wait soo long so someone can bring the card machine.

👎🏻 my husband have called them for two times and each of them said the same thing: “my colleague will bring it for you” and their colleague is not responding to us. Even though there are enough waitors and the restaurant and she’s not than busy.

👎🏻 so my husband had to go the payment place to pay! Or we will have to wait until midnight..

👎🏻 no one have thanked us for coming

👎🏻 one star restaurants have better treatment for us than this 5 star restaurant.

👎🏻 we felt unwelcomed at all and they were racist! We are in 2018 or 1960? This type of treatment should have disappeared by now.

If I had a restaurant I will never treat anyone by their race and their athnicity. I will treat them equally because at the end we are humans and they are coming to eat and pay, they are not coming to beg me and get 5 stars food for free.

I will give this review a star just an appreciation to the food. And...

Arrogant !

Worst restaurant I had ever met. The staff lies us about reservation to reject our seating. He is racist.

At 8pm, he told us that there will be the table after 9.30pm and we told him that’s ok we will be back here at that time. I would like to tell my name for making a reservation but he didn’t even wait to listen it. At 9.30pm, we came back to Sapori on time and wait for the table but the staff, the same person who told us that it will be available at 9.30pm, told us it fully booked and blame on us that it is because we didn’t tell the name to make a reservation. This makes he doesn’t know that we will be back or not…WTF!!(I try to make it but he didn’t wait or willing to do. It’s not my false)

I waited in front of Sapori for a while to check that it is busy as he said or not….and the answer is half of capacity is empty…doesn’t seem like fully booked anymore which show us about the bad manner and lack service mind of the staff.

From this experience, I will not step into this restaurant again because it is not valuable enough for me. Moreover, I will not recommend Sapori to my social and community for...
