Quaibrücke is a road, tramway, pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the river Limmat, at the outflow of Lake Zürich in the city of Zürich, Switzerland. It was built simultaneously with the construction of Zürich's new quays between 1881 and 1887.

One of the most beautiful views of the city and the Limmat are seen from the Quaibrücke. It is the last bridge before the lake begins in the city and offers fantastic views of both the city and the lake and the mountains beyond. One can take in the views of the Grossmünster, Fraumünster and the city, along with the yachts and boats in the Limmat and the Zürichsee from the bridge. It is peaceful despite being bustling with people.

Das ist ganz einfach eine von mehr als 10 Brücken und Stegen über die Limmat auf dem Gebiet der Stadt Zürich. Sie ist die grösste der Innenstadt und ist direkt am Ende des Zürichsee. Besonders ist aber die Aussicht! Auf beiden Seiten ist der Blick sehr sehenswert. Die Seiten bitte nur an den Uferseiten bei den Lichtsignalen wechseln. Es hat starken Auto- und Tram-Verkehr auf der Brücke. Seeseitig hat man einen schönen Ausblick auf den See und dessen linkes und rechtes Ufer. Weil der See leicht gekrümmt ist, sieht man das gegenüberliegende Ende nicht und der See wirkt endlos. Bei guter Sicht sieht man die Glarner Bergkette sehr gut. Wenn Wetter und Luftdruck perfekt sind, kann man man sogar das Säntis-Massiv erkennen. Auf der anderen Seite enfaltet sich die Altstadt von Zürich auf beiden Seiten der Limmat. Markant sind die drei grossen Innenstadt-Kirchen: Fraumünster, St.Peter und Grossmünster. Direkt vor dem Fraumünster ist das Stadthaus mit dem charakteristischen kantigen Turm.

The views are breathtaking. It's the best place to look at the lake within the city. There are often street performers nearby, which adds to the attraction. You can also watch and feed swans here, there are whole flocks of them! The wind is usually quite strong here, which gives opportunities for some interesting photos.

The place can be very crowded but it's still rather nice. I enjoyed walking around here and feed the geese. Probably most people are also just like me, they'd come here to hang out, enjoy the view, the nice air, or wandering around. One of my favourite places whenever I'm in Zürich. Also, walking distance from the HB.

Beautiful view of Zurich lake. Close to the Opera House. Actually walking distance from Zurich HB station. Still you can connect by tram 17, 2. Also train line S16 stops nearby (next station after Zurich HB). If you’re coming from airport, just take S16 train and continue for one more stop after HB station.
