Bar am Wasser — Restaurant in Zurich

The guy with glasses and bear who sat us was kind of rude. He offered us a table but we preferred to sit at the bar and he looked bad at us, don’t get why… he gave us the cocktail menu without explaining anything about it. We couldn’t order properly because we didn’t understand it. We kindly asked if he could tell us something about it and we just received a short answer and still didn’t know anything about it.. After that, another French girl bartender attended us and tried to recommend us something. She was nice but didn’t know that much about the cocktails she was recommending. Unfortunately under any expectations. Don’t get me wrong, we ordered a glass of wine and a G&T, not really anything you could have done wrong but for a bar trying to be super high end & “best of switzerland” the hospitality is one of the worst I ever experienced. Super cold service, no “hello, how are you”, no nice words at all. We felt like no one really was happy to be there, it was incredibly bad. Especially because nice service & a warm welcome doesn’t cost anything. Nice style and feels very buzzing. However the quee to get a table and the table system is a bit odd. We got a cosy table for 2 at the end of the main seating section at the front but due to us having a 3rd person join the head waiter was very upset. He insisted showing my friend a step that goes down at the side and is a bit narrow and demanded that my friend agree all legal libalities in case he fell or had an accident to this step and if he did not agree to these terms and conditions that my friend would be at fault and in no way the bar then we should all be moved away .
