THE LOCKER The very first thing I want to say is we got a key. We waited in a long line and when we finally got to the counter we asked "If we got a locker do we have to wait in line to give the key back?" And she said NO. Three of us clearly heard it and repeated it back to her. She told us to just come back up and we can return it for our deposit quickly, without going through the line again. Otherwise we would've left and not bothered with the locker. Either she's a liar or the other girl is terrible at her job. When we wanted to leave the line was longer. We tried to return the key and this girl kept saying no. In fact, she spent more time arguing with us than it would've taken her to just take the key and give us our deposit. She kept telling us, AS IF WE DIDN'T KNOW, that everyone in line has been waiting at least 20-30 minutes for tickets and she will be helping them first. We waited too and I doubt any of them would choose to wait twice so why in the hell would we have gotten a locker if we were going to have to wait again! If someone else hadn't come along to solve our issue, this would've been a very unpleasant interaction between me and this rude and stubborn girl.
COVID social distancing does not exist here. Only on certain rides. Be warned if you care about that. There's lines for everything and people will be right up next to you--they don't care.
GO CART RIDE This particular ride is rigged or not well looked after. After waiting for half an hour (I kept track) I got placed into a car that hardly moved. I was at the very front of the line and everybody lapped me. My foot was holding the gas all the way down and my other foot wasn't even near the brake. I chugged along, barely, and watched people lap me. It sucked.
RIDES WITH NO EMPLOYEES There were several instances where at seemingly random intervals there was no attending employee. The ride would be open before when we walked past and by the time we get through another line and ride then came back, there was no employee in sight. This happened with a few rides.
OVERALL I would NEVER pay that steep price for rides here again. Do not recommend. Tiny kids would probably be fine if you have the money for arcade...
Read moreJust left this theme park after having one of the rudest interactions ever with one of the managers on shift Kaylee on June 30th in the afternoon. We were there two days prior and spent well over $500 in the arcade with our kids and had cashed in certain tokens to receive tickets. On that day we received 3000 per cash in. Two days later we came back and spent more money for the kids to play and we hit the same machine expecting the same payout and part of why we came back because we did enjoy the experience and when we went to cash out we received only 2000. When I approached the staff about the discrepancy they informed me that the employee on the other day was incorrect. The manager Kaylee came over when I brought the account transcript to their attention as proof. The manager Kaylee very abruptly and rudely stated “well I’m the manager on shift and you WILL NOT be receiving anything”. I’m a business owner myself and if an employee of mine ever spoke to a customer in such a rude fashion there would be a LOT of discussions and training. Not only to bring all the staff to the same page so that the circumstance isn’t repeated but on how to manage situations as such. It’s not the customers responsibility to compensate for employees shortfalls in training. Thankfully the Kalihari managers on staff redeemed the situation and we ended up with twice the amount of tickets that Kaylee shorted me on. Had she handled the situation appropriately and wasn’t rude to a paying customer that has dropped a decent chunk of change at their facility I would’ve left it as is and understood the misunderstanding and hope that the staff training was corrected. That indeed was...
Read moreWe stayed at the Kalahari so we bought the passes for here. We had never been to Tom Foolerys or Kalahari before this visit. When we got to the hotel it was the evening so we decided to venture into Tom Foolerys. The first thing the kids wanted to do was laser tag. We were in the front of the line but we had just gotten there while the other group was watching the informational video so we had a bit of a wait before getting our vests. Once we got to put our vests on and listened the video, we were ready to head in. The attendant working came up to me and unbuckled my clip across my chest while I had my back towards him. I looked at him uncomfortable and puzzled as he tried to pull the vest off me and I asked him what was happening. He said “there’s no more guns.” I looked back at the long line of people behind us that all had vests on and I asked why me? Now I realize after playing more times after that, that sometimes the vests don’t work which must have been what happened with mine but I had no clue. He offered no explanation. He just laughed and said I don’t know and walked away. It was rude and uncomfortable. The rest of my party went into play while I waited. I messaged Kalahari about the encounter. They didn’t say much of anything other than they’d pass it onto to the Tom Foolery management. 4 days later, I haven’t heard a word. I reached out to Kalahari again, same bot response basically. Not impressed with Kalahari or Tom Foolerys. It was not a good first encounter and they should teach their employees customer service and also not to put their...
