A truly beautiful and medium sized park a few minutes walk down the hill from the Blue Mosque. A great place to walk and most definitely a place for the kids. There is a playground in the middle of the park on the hill and at the north end of the park is a fountain in the shape of a book which the kids love to play in. A must see place for the family. The main path is wide and shaded with numerous benches to sit on and take a rest. There are larger fountains to see and a snack shop along the path. Up the hill are other paths which offer a different view of the park as well as some ancient ruins. On the border of the park are several nice restaurants which serve complete meals. At the south end of the park near the water there are the ruins of orphanage of Saint Paul which dates back to the 4th century. Just above the ruins on the hill above there is the Column of the Goths, built by the Romans in 300-400 AD to celebrate a victory over the Goths. The column is in excellent condition and placed in a circular path with several benches to rest on, although you may have to share a bench with one of the local dogs or cats. On the side of the park is an excellent archeological museum with famous relics and interesting historical information regarding Turkey and the local area.

Gülhane Parkı, located in the historical peninsula of Istanbul, is one of the city’s oldest and most beautiful parks, offering a peaceful retreat amidst its bustling surroundings. Once a part of the outer gardens of Topkapı Palace, the park served as a royal leisure space during the Ottoman era and opened to the public in 1912. Today, it is cherished for its lush greenery, wide walking paths, and tranquil atmosphere. The park is particularly famous for its historical significance and proximity to iconic landmarks like Topkapı Palace and the Hagia Sophia. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn from its elevated spots. Seasonal flowers, including tulips during spring, add vibrant colors to the park, making it a popular destination during Istanbul's annual Tulip Festival. Gülhane Parkı also houses notable attractions, such as the Museum of the History of Science and Technology in Islam, located in one of the park's old buildings. Its central location, combined with its natural beauty and cultural significance, makes Gülhane Parkı a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.

Park içinde Beltur'a ait büfeler de mevcuttur. Uygun fiyata karnınızı doyurabilirsiniz. Tramvayın Gülhane Parkı durağı, Marmarayın Sirkeci Durağı istasyonları parka ulaşma noktalarıdır. Ayasofya,Sultanahmet Camisi ve Eminönü yürüme mesafesindedir. Uğramanızı tavsiye ederim.

Marhaba 👋 As humans, we often strive for perfection, but in nature, perfection can take on a different form. Despite its imperfections, nature remains stunningly beautiful. I was recently walking through a park and came across a group of trees that were contorted and bent in unusual ways, yet they still exuded a unique and captivating beauty. It made me realize that beauty can be found in unexpected places and that we should appreciate the imperfections we see around us. Moreover, the park was filled with the sounds of nature which I find incredibly peaceful and calming. The sound of birds chirping, the rustling of leaves in the wind, and the gentle flow of water in a nearby stream all came together to create a symphony of natural music that can soothe the soul. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of nature to calm and refresh the mind, body, and soul. 5 minutes far away from the blue mosque, also surrounded by fine dining restaurants.
