St Chad's Catholic Cathedral — Attraction in Birmingham

St Chad's Cathedral is a massive, gorgeous cathedral right at the heart of Birmingham City.

It is a huge, exquisite, and historical cathedral, with extraordinary architecture, a huge balcony where the choir sings, statues around the inside, and a magnificent alter.

It has some relics of St John Henry Newman, towering pillars, statues depicting the 12 Stations of the Cross, stunning and colourful strained windows.

Mass is celebrated weekly at the cathedral, and everyone who comes through the doors are warmly welcomed and invited in.

Having often wondered what the city cathedral was like inside, myself and my boyfriend happened to walk past this evening, and entered the cathedral after seeing people inside and welcome notes on the doors. However, we had walked up one aisle to the altar across and started walking back down the other aisle, to then be approached from behind by a man who forcefully and rudely told us that “we should leave NOW”!!!! We were the only people approached and asked to leave….. guess it must of been my horns and trident that did it!!!!!
