As a wheelchair user I am always looking for accessible venues, emails and phone calls are standard practice to find out how accessible a venue is, on arriving to the venue the wheelchair lift was broken and I was stuck for 10 minutes with people staring at me whilst stewards tried to fix the lift, after that I finally got back to ground level where I had to leave the building and access a different part in order to use the main lifts, when finally at the right part of the building the disabled access area was Right at the back left hand corner of the room, far away from the stage, there were no stewards to help wheelchair users navigate the awful ramp which had a 6" gap at the side that I almost fell into, it was a terrible experience and one I do not wish to repeat, I only hope the artists I like choose better venues...
