Where do I start?? After visiting an alternative jewellers in Chester to look at engagement rings for my now Fiance, I was left feeling confused and unimportant. I decided to google "Jewellers in Chester" and Kayes came up as a recommendation.

As soon as I walked through the door and I explained I was thinking of proposing, I was made to feel special and the member of staff was genuinely interested in how we met, when I was thinking of popping the question and details about myself and my partner.

I was told the best thing I could do would be to arrange a meeting with Nick , the owner, and go through everything. During our meeting, Nick educated me in diamond specifications and helped me choose the best ring for my proposal. The meeting felt personal, exciting and incredibly professional. Nick provided not only a fantastic service, but incredible pricing and instilled me with confidence in my purchase.

I have since been back with my Fiance to buy her wedding ring, and she loves visiting everyone at Kayes as it is an experience that cannot be replicated.

Furthermore I have also bought my Fiances wedding present and once again Nick was incredible and made me feel like part of the Kayes family. Every time I walk in I am greeted by name from all of the staff an they ask questions about the wedding preparations, remember facts about us and genuinely make me feel special.

I cannot stress how highly I think of everyone at Kayes and a special thank you to Nick and Mark who have made the whole experience a pleasure and an exciting time in the run up to our wedding. I know I have found my jeweller of choice for life and I can categorically say this is the best buying experience I have ever encountered.

I recently purchased an engagement ring for my (now) fiance from Kayes and the whole process has been a breeze thanks to the staff.

Having never been through the process of commissioning a ring before I had a LOT of questions, and being a fair distance away from the store was asking by email, but Tony answered everything I had to ask both quickly and in great detail. Following the to and fro of the carat this and the clarity that time came to pick the stone. I made the trip to the store and was welcomed in as if we were old friends. All the staff are so professional in their approach to customer service! Two hours later I left, stone selected and ring commissioned. I was surprised from just how much work is involved in grading the stones! To my untrained eye they all looked basically identical. However, after some tutoring by Tony I started to see the subtle differences that dictate the grades.

Myself and my (now) fiance called into the shop this past weekend, I wanted her to meet the team at Kayes, and to get the ring re-sized as I had gone a half size larger just to make sure it fitted. We were welcomed by Gill, who wanted to hear all the details of the proposal, and they sat and nattered about wedding planning and were both very excited about the whole thing. My fiance was fully prepared to be without her engagement ring for two to three weeks while it was off being resized (this is what friends have said it takes) but to our delight Gill informed us that it could be turned around in a day! What a result.

I would highly recommend Kayes to anyone! The quality of the product speaks for itself (and we have already had many comments of how sparkly the diamonds are!), and the staff couldn't be more professional...

I can only apologize that this review is being posted so late, but I hope this shows how much of an impact Kayes Jewellers left in our hearts. All the staff were super friendly, amazing and couldn't do enough for us. From the first day I stepped in like a stumbling idiot looking for the all important engagement ring with not having a clue what I was looking for, I was sat down and made to feel so comfortable and relaxed. Everything was explained with so much knowledge and detail that I left an hour later with the most perfect ring on order. Fast forward 18 months and we were both walking back through the door as an engaged couple looking for our wedding bands, we were made to feel so important and as if we were the only customers in the store. We laughed and joked the whole time we were there. From taking a look at the engagement ring, giving it a polish, to going though a full selection of wedding bands which would suit our style and current rings. Everything was covered and sure enough over an hour later we had ordered our bands without even looking at other jewellers. Finally, a few more weeks later and I'm back in the store looking a diamond necklace as a wedding gift for my wife to be. Again, service was exemplary and I was left feeling so important and guided into making the perfect decision on which pendant and necklace to purchase. Kayes Jewellers will forever remain in our hearts for being a special part of making wedding experience as perfect as it was.
