A hidden gem in the corner! So many beautiful bits and pieces at affordable prices, and the shop owner is so nice and kind! Feel free to ask him about the prices if you don’t find a price tag. The two items I got cost less than 10 pounds altogether! Will definitely come back and bring my friends here

I visited here in early January 2024. The owner was great about letting me take photos in his shop. Such an interesting shop - full of antiques, curios and collectibles. Well worth a visit.

Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience at Quadrant Antiques in Edinburgh. The shop itself is in poor condition — it’s incredibly cluttered, with items stacked and thrown around chaotically. It’s nearly impossible to browse or examine anything properly due to how packed and disorganised it is.

I was met with a very unpleasant attitude from the man running the shop. I made a friendly comment when I walked in, saying “Oh, you have lots of bits and bobs,” to which he sarcastically replied, “That’s right… well done.” It was rude and unnecessary, and it instantly made the atmosphere uncomfortable.

The prices are also quite inflated for the condition of the items, many of which were dusty and not well maintained. Overall, the experience was unwelcoming and unprofessional. I do not recommend visiting this shop — there are far better antique stores in Edinburgh where you’ll be treated kindly and actually...

I had a wonderful visit at this shop. The owner was hands down one of the kindest people I have ever met! He was quiet at first, but soon explained the history behind the photos I had bought with much detail. Not only that, but he the time to look through his inventory to try to find something relating to a city I have a lot of interest in. Definitely a must stop...

My wife and I spent an hour getting to know the kind and interesting owner who had a story about all his antiques acquired in Scottish estates. After a walk up to the nearest atm we left with a new friend (my wife hugged him), a 19th century working telescope, and priceless keepsakes to take home. If you like the art of antiquing DONT...
