After travelling around Warwickshire to find a nice curry house that also did a decent sizzler mix, we finally found this great restaurant. For starter we had mixed grill platter for 2. this was huge, and came with 2 shish kebabs, 2 lamb chops, 2 chicken nibblets, about 10 tikka bites, 3 large pieces of masala fish, cooked on a bed of onions. The starter was delicious and it was nice to find a sizzler platter that wasnt just tandorri flavour. For mains we had chicken tikka masala and lamb balti with a side of mushroom fried rice and plain naan. The masala was very flavoursome and it was nice to eat a tikka masala that wasnt really sweet and creamy like other restaurants. Tasted like what tikka should. The balti had a bit of kick but the meat was unbelievably tender and you could taste every individual ingredient. The restaurant gets very busy but the service doesnt suffer and the mains follow quickly after your starter. The prices are good too, especially for the portion sizes. The staff are friendly and attentive. By far the best curry weve had in a long time both in flavour and service. Will definately be returning.

Update after 1 year: Been there for weekend lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was almost empty which probably is not usual. Ordered the lamb thali ( 3 different variant of lamb items, plain rice,Dal fry,one veg curry, raita) , complimentary Papad with chutney served before as an appetizer.Price of the lamb thalli was £16 which is reasonable.Taste of lamb items were average to good.Lamb curry was best among them.Customer service was bizarre and it really shocked me, the stuffs were literally sleep walking.I can understand it was a slow day compared to regular Sunday but that sort of behavior is not expected from a leading restaurant.(pics of thalli attached for reference 😀) --------------------------------------------------------------------- It's a popular Punjabi dhaba style restaurant located near Coventry city center!Non veg platter is very good...Other sides are also okay and quantity is also generous...Book before you visit there as it's full even on weekdays!! Ambience and service is decent.. Update: Ordered the Mixed Grill today(One of their best selling item from Menu!) and honestly I am disappointed with the portion and quality!!They charged 12.55£ and the quality is not at all up to the mark!!The lamb chop was not juicy or tender and seems undercooked!!!Need to throw it to the bin!!!The Price should be within 10£ or to be precise 9£ to make it fair as per portion ans over quality!!Images are attached for reference.

NO REGRETS! I was greeted by the warm front of house team upon arrival and swiftly guided to my table. The waiter serving me was kind and courteous, ensuring that my needs were fulfilled in timely fashion. The decor, layout and ambience were pleasing to the eye and led to a pleasant dining experience. Onto the more important bits (for me anyway)....the food was simply AMAZING. I opted for the mixed grill, the chicken tikka karahi as well as cheese naan and fries. The fragrances were mesmerising and the presentation, great. I was pleased with the flavours and the food was undoubtedly cooked with love and expertise. The serving sizes were generous and filling too. The star of the show was the lamb chops. I found myself wanting to lick the bones. Such was the flavour profile and quality of meat. And if I was in the privacy of my home, I would have done just that hahah. My Dhabba Coventry is definitely a solid addition to my list of regulars for a good night out. A big thank you to Noor and Masood for their kindness, generosity and hospitality. Truly appreciated, Khurram

unfortunately, failed to live up to the expectations one might have for a restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt lackluster and uninviting. The decor was tired and in need of a refresh, contributing to an overall sense of neglect. The service was equally disappointing. The food itself was the biggest letdown. While the portions were generous, the quality was severely lacking. The dishes we ordered were bland and flavourless, lacking the vibrancy and depth one expects from Indian cuisine. The naan bread was dry and chewy, and the overall experience left us feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled. Frankly, we were left with the impression that Dhaba Coventry is simply not prioritizing the quality of its food or the experience of its customers. For anyone seeking authentic and delicious Indian food, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This establishment falls far short of the mark and is not worth your time or money.

Very tasty food, friendly staff. Mixed grill was very tasty especially the lamb chops and the chicken tikka pieces. Started with complimentary poppadom and chutneys then we ordered the mix grill and chicken curry which we wanted cooked spicy desi style which we had with proper rotis. Had to wait a while but it was worth the wait. It was delicious and literally finger licking good. Staff then gave us wipes and then we ordered 3 different kinds of icecream. My favourite one was mango but we finished them all. To finish off we were given a little chocolate when we paid. Overall loved the food, the ambience and the experience. Inshallah will be coming back :)

Discover a good spot for Indian cuisine at this restaurant. The food is simply delicious, and the ambiance adds to the enjoyment of the meal. With a range of vegetarian options available, there's something for everyone. Due to its popularity, it's a good idea to book your table ahead of time. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. They accept card payments for convenience. Keep in mind that some dishes are milder in spice to cater to general tastes, but feel free to request your preferred spice level. Non-alcoholic drinks are also on offer. Overall, it's a great choice for a satisfying meal."
