Update after 1 year: Been there for weekend lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was almost empty which probably is not usual. Ordered the lamb thali ( 3 different variant of lamb items, plain rice,Dal fry,one veg curry, raita) , complimentary Papad with chutney served before as an appetizer.Price of the lamb thalli was £16 which is reasonable.Taste of lamb items were average to good.Lamb curry was best among them.Customer service was bizarre and it really shocked me, the stuffs were literally sleep walking.I can understand it was a slow day compared to regular Sunday but that sort of behavior is not expected from a leading restaurant.(pics of thalli attached for reference 😀) It's a popular Punjabi dhaba style restaurant located near Coventry city center!Non veg platter is very good...Other sides are also okay and quantity is also generous...Book before you visit there as it's full even on weekdays!! Ambience and service is decent..

Update: Ordered the Mixed Grill today(One of their best selling item from Menu!) and honestly I am disappointed with the portion and quality!!They charged 12.55£ and the quality is not at all up to the mark!!The lamb chop was not juicy or tender and seems undercooked!!!Need to throw it to the bin!!!The Price should be within 10£ or to be precise 9£ to make it fair as per portion ans over quality!!Images are attached...

I went there on Saturday to dine in, they asked if we booked, we didn’t and they got us in which was great, it was about 5:50-6pm, I was with my wife and children. So it wasn’t busy at all at this time!

The kids loved the French fries. I had the Damak my wife had the Channa Puri and we had Pani Puri for starters. We were given popadoms and chutneys. The order came all out at once.

Pani Puri - Rubbish a bit stale, no taste and hardly any onions in, looked like just channa, and the water was absolutely a disgrace to the Pani Puri Name. To be honest The worst water I have ever had - no taste of anything!

Channa Puri, came out as one plate with one Puri and Channa on top puri folded over with a side salad. The puri was ok the Channa again had no taste, so bland, a bit raw and no salt and no flavour - very disappointing!

On to the Damak, nice concept, tikka with lamb and mince in a sauce on a sizzler platter. Lamb was cooked to perfection, but again I asked for medium spice and there was no spice or seasoning. It was so bland it’s unreal. The garlic naan was good. But the whole dish had no Damak in it!

So would I go again, no way! Do I think it’s top 3 in Coventry - no way! I wouldn’t put it in the top 10! Go Khushi Grill - one of the best tasting in the city!

However, on to the positives, 5/5 for atmosphere and service. Both which were excellent. I’ve given it 2 stars overall because of the services...

had ordered food via just eat. It said on the app that it would take anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour for delivery.

I expected it to be the latter due to it being a Saturday night. I looked on the app 15 minutes after my food was due and seen it had not left the restaurant and the driver was waiting. I called and was told it would be with me in 10 minutes. 20 minutes passes and the driver calls to say he’s no longer waiting as he’s been at the restaurant an hour. I speak to the restaurant and they explained they gave my order to somone else however a fresh one was being made and would be with me in 10 minutes. I call 15 minutes later to be told another 10 minutes. The restaurant then cancel my order via just eat so I’ve then been waiting 2 hours for food and to be told it’s not coming and to be lied to for a hour that it was on its day. Contacted the restaurant whom said they would make my order and I would need to collect and they would give me a discount of £7 if I wanted delivery I would need to wait another 40 minutes. Rest assured I got my refund on just eat. Need to learn how to manage customers expectations better and if you can’t deliver the service you have said you can be upfront. I would have been able to get food else were. I would have told this the manager but he refused to speak to me so hence...

After travelling around Warwickshire to find a nice curry house that also did a decent sizzler mix, we finally found this great restaurant. For starter we had mixed grill platter for 2. this was huge, and came with 2 shish kebabs, 2 lamb chops, 2 chicken nibblets, about 10 tikka bites, 3 large pieces of masala fish, cooked on a bed of onions. The starter was delicious and it was nice to find a sizzler platter that wasnt just tandorri flavour. For mains we had chicken tikka masala and lamb balti with a side of mushroom fried rice and plain naan. The masala was very flavoursome and it was nice to eat a tikka masala that wasnt really sweet and creamy like other restaurants. Tasted like what tikka should. The balti had a bit of kick but the meat was unbelievably tender and you could taste every individual ingredient. The restaurant gets very busy but the service doesnt suffer and the mains follow quickly after your starter. The prices are good too, especially for the portion sizes. The staff are friendly and attentive. By far the best curry weve had in a long time both in flavour and service. Will definately be returning.

NO REGRETS! I was greeted by the warm front of house team upon arrival and swiftly guided to my table. The waiter serving me was kind and courteous, ensuring that my needs were fulfilled in timely fashion. The decor, layout and ambience were pleasing to the eye and led to a pleasant dining experience. Onto the more important bits (for me anyway)....the food was simply AMAZING. I opted for the mixed grill, the chicken tikka karahi as well as cheese naan and fries. The fragrances were mesmerising and the presentation, great. I was pleased with the flavours and the food was undoubtedly cooked with love and expertise. The serving sizes were generous and filling too. The star of the show was the lamb chops. I found myself wanting to lick the bones. Such was the flavour profile and quality of meat. And if I was in the privacy of my home, I would have done just that hahah. My Dhabba Coventry is definitely a solid addition to my list of regulars for a good night out. A big thank you to Noor and Masood for their kindness, generosity and hospitality. Truly appreciated, Khurram
