A Symphony of Gastronomic Delight at The Corn Exchange:

Allow me to regale you with the tale of my recent soirée at The Corn Exchange, an opulent oasis nestled within the heart of the bustling cityscape. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in an aura of refined elegance, where the confluence of grandeur and conviviality danced harmoniously.

Upon perusing the menu, my senses were enraptured by the symphony of culinary masterpieces on offer, each dish meticulously crafted to tantalize the palate and elevate the soul. From the succulent sirloin steak, cooked to absolute perfection, to the exquisitely indulgent vegetarian options that left me in a state of gastronomic euphoria, every morsel was a testament to the culinary prowess of the esteemed chefs.

But it was not merely the delectable fare that enraptured my senses; it was the ambiance, the ambiance that transported me to a bygone era of sophistication and refinement. The resplendent decor, reminiscent of a grand Victorian parlour, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of revelry and indulgence. The soft glow of the ambient lighting, coupled with the gentle hum of laughter and conversation, created an atmosphere of unparalleled warmth and camaraderie.

And let us not forget the libations! Ah, the libations! The Corn Exchange boasts an extensive selection of libations to suit even the most discerning of palates. From the velvety smoothness of the finest single malt whiskies to the effervescent effusion of the most exquisite champagne, each sip was a revelation, a testament to the artistry of the master mixologists behind the bar.

But perhaps what truly sets The Corn Exchange apart is the impeccable service. From the moment I was graciously ushered to my table by the impeccably attired staff to the moment I bid adieu, every interaction was imbued with a sense of genuine warmth and hospitality that is all too rare in this modern age.

In conclusion, my dear compatriots, if you find yourself in search of an experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further than The Corn Exchange. It is a veritable haven for the epicurean soul, a bastion of refinement in an increasingly chaotic world. Let us raise our glasses in salute to this veritable jewel in the crown of culinary...

At first glance The Corn Exchange just looks like another Wetherspoons pub, but beneath those majestic stairs a place is breath-taking sight of two immaculate bars, armed with multiple shimmering taps with enough beer to satiate even the most gluttonous of Pub-lords, alongside an entire arsenal of spirit bottles containing the finest ambrosia ever to be conceived and the most exquisite wines that are crafted to perfection. These luxurious fluids are presented and made by extremly talented and charismatic artists known as Bar Associates who always present their work to the customers with beauty and flair. Each one of their creations are works of art that stay with you for the rest of your life.

Being a student who must embark through the streets Leicester City Centre after an eternity of study at my establishment of education and who doesn't have a lot of free time, I always make pause my journey here to take a break from the immensely busy life I have chosen to pursue. It's one of the only places that makes me feel like I can close off my mind from all that exists beyond the walls of this historical monument.

Upon each visit I make to this divine tavern I am lost in thought deciding on the upcoming banquet that I am about to consume, as the selection of delectable feasts on offer is as broad as the city it is located in. From the pinnacle of all dishes known as the "All Day Brunch" to the short bursts of magic that is the "Boneless Basket" there is little something for everyone and the quality of each dish is sublime. The chefs in that kitchen are some of the most remarkable geniuses I have ever encountered.

In conclusion my many experiences at the Corn Exchange are memories that I will cherish for rest of my life. If you reside in the city of Leicester then no other establishment in the this fine city will satisfy you quite like The...

I recently visited The Corn Exchange, and it’s an absolute gem in the heart of Leicester! Housed in a gorgeous 1850s building, this former trading hub still retains its historic charm with soaring ceilings, elegant ironwork, and wooden floors that echo the footsteps of the past. Yet, it manages to combine that vintage atmosphere with a fresh, modern pub experience.

Right as you step in, you’re greeted by a bright, open space—perfect for anyone wanting to chat over a drink or simply admire the architectural beauty. The bar area is huge and well-stocked, with a great selection of local ales, ciders, and craft beers. The friendly staff definitely know their stuff if you need recommendations!

The menu offers plenty of comforting pub classics alongside some tasty modern twists. Whether you’re craving a hearty plate of fish and chips or something lighter, there’s something to suit all taste buds. I also appreciated the spacious seating and laid-back vibe, which makes it ideal for casual meetups or a cheerful night out.

One standout feature is the gorgeous upstairs balcony area—perfect for taking in the lively buzz below while enjoying a pint. And if the weather’s nice, don’t forget the outdoor seating—it’s a lovely spot for people-watching in the heart of the city.

All in all, The Corn Exchange marries Leicester’s history with a welcoming, modern feel. It’s got character, charm, and great food to match—definitely worth a visit if you’re...

We visited The Corn Exchange in August 2023. The pub is an impressive Grade II listed building, with a huge stone archway to the front which unfortunately was undergoing some work on our visit. The pub was refurbished in 2022 and the interior is a vast, open area across multiple levels wrapped around a central bar. The carpet is particularly interesting, with reference to the Leicestershire cinquefoil and the agricultural history of the building. The toilets have benefited from the refurbishment and the pub feels quite fresh, albeit very brown. Check out our website or visit our socials (@wethowanderers) to read our full review of the pub!

This is a very easy place to find due to it proximity to the market, which is fixed stalls. The building itself dates back to 1850 so has history. It is a great building for a pub plenty of character as does a lot of Wetherspoons. It had a good crowd in at 9.00 when we were in, really busy. There is seating outside next to the market and a lot of indoor seating on different levels. The toilets are on the ground floor for a change. At night some of the tables and chairs make way for a dance floor giving it a different vibe on an evening. The service was spot on whatever time I went in.
