Doors opened at 7pm we got in at about 8:30pm and the support band were well underway, we went straight to the bar to buy two beers, we paid for it and walked to the back of the venue, we both had a big swig of line cleaner/bleach. I took the beers back to the bar where they were doing a line clean and selling beers at the same time obviously not knowing what lines were being cleaned and what wasn't, it's a bit scary because of the demographic of the concert was quite old and I'm not sure if some of them would have noticed. I was able to get the beers swapped but didn't want to go back to the bar after that. The gig itself was good and the sound was very good.

Great night, great bands, definitely a convert to the Ryders and the Autumn Saints. The only issue is the outrageous drinks' prices. If the 100 can get it right why can't the 229? £7.20 for a bottle of Doom is frankly ridiculous and a rip off. PS There are two rooms/stages, one, the one I've reviewed, is a large hall with the stage at about five to six feet high; the other is a much smaller room with the stage a foot or so high. Both have their own bars. - Now no Dom Bar available even at the rip off prices. Great sets from Squire and Secret Affair.

Awesome, I have to give a shout out to the staff, they brilliant, and a special shout out to Ben Sutherland, he made sure I had what I needed. I was in a wheelchair for the gig thanks to a previous operation. Ben and his staff made sure I was given access to a lift and taken in via a different access point. The club itself is awesome, great acoustics for the bands. 229 The Venue is a great venue if your looking for somewhere to go, im looking forward to going back in December for the "Decapitated" gig 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼

The agency staff there were aggressive to the VIP ticket holders when we went to go see The midnight beast last night. When me and my friend also went to go inform the manager that all the women's facilities were either out of order and blocked, or out of toilet roll, we were spoken to in a very aggressive manner despite us only trying to help. My friend owned a radar key (for the disabled facilities) and the manager had no idea about the disabled loos and was talking down to her. Another member of staff on their day off was also propositioning my friend who was very drunk and honestly I felt as though the whole venue was just a sham. Only one member of staff was nice and helpful the whole night and I thanked them multiple times for having to deal with the shitshow that...

This would quickly become my favourite venue for metal gigs and I would be giving it five stars if it wasn't for the security personnel because of whom we ended up missing 2 bands when we didn't need to.

Arrived halfway through first band's set and asked if there is readmission. We were told there is no readmission. This made us decide to go have dinner and drinks until the main act instead of popping out for a quick bite between bands. Upon arrival for the main band we realised security has changed and everyone is outside hanging out and smoking (no designated smoking area so it must be readmission as venue is underground!). Very disappointed.

Otherwise the sound here is fantastic and the layout is great. Drink prices are okay, however the beer selection can do with a...

Giving 2 stars for a terrible service at the Telephone Enquiry. Today Friday 13th March 2020 I called at 17:08 to enquire about how to visit the place easily. An Eastern European lady picked up who doesn't speak good English and has a very rude tone, Wasn't helpful at all, didn't tell me list of events happening that night or any upcoming, I told her I was interested in live concerts, didn't tell me about alternative options, instead told me to check the website and was hurrying to end the call. I could have done that but usually calling to venue customer service you will get more informed than whatever posted in the website. I hope I the management has a word with her. Such a shame she killed my mood to otherwise seems to be a really...
