I was looking forward to see this musical and I wasn’t disappointed!! It’s such a great treat… being in the grand circle though means that you lose a bit of the front view and lot of times you need to move a little forward to see what’s happening in the front part of the stage. This said the show and the actors are absurdly talented, they portrait the quintessence of the movie so well. The songs are one more beautiful than the next and they gave me such a great vibe. I kept on singing (in my head as I had to restrain myself from singing out loud) each one of them. I have to say and this might be my personal unpopular opinion and the only small flaw that I also found in the movie, the show is very long and at times I had the feeling its pacing is a little too slow. This feeling was anyway brushed away in the finale with a crescendo of amazing scenes and the end which made me want that it kept going for other 4 hours!! You leave the theatre full of energy smiling and singing! I hope I can watch it again in the future but I’ll surely would want to go for...
Read moreI had heard mannyyyy rave about this show and I absolutely love both Mamma Mia and ABBA but honestly I don’t think this performance lives up to the expectation. The actress for Donna was impeccable though !! Seriously !!!! PURE talent , it’s like she was born for it!!! Sophie however respectfully didn’t have the best voice and just didn’t give off the right energy for Sophie when compared to the movie - that’s fine sure , but was she really the best option ? Quite a few flat lines from the actors / actresses and the props / scenery could do better (i’ve seen much better from smaller produced & lower budget musicals) Oddly inappropriate at times too , i can imagine some parents wouldn’t appreciate that. Overall I think it’s worth it if you enjoy Mamma Mia and ABBA but i wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it nor will i rave about how amazing it was. I really expected more from such a well known London based musical. Merch was...
Read moreA funny enjoyable musical 💃🏻the performance was well executed very much related to stories of phases people go through in relationships and life; and how at the end of it all its about making a dream a reality, happiness an ultimate goal, family & friends are all who matter, accepting our differences and most importantly “You may give most, what you never had” ~ AHQ . The audience couldn’t resist getting on their feet and rock that theatre 🎭 Loved it!!! Recommended though may may not be suitable for under 14. Show is 2.5 hrs long with a break in between. Ice cream and snacks were sold. My experience would have been perfect had the person sitting in front of had her hair tied up as it was just blocking my view and another reason could have been that the slant of theatre chairs wasn’t engineered well to accommodate for all heights. Lifts and dedicated wheelchair space was available yet accessibility measures could be improved...
