Rude unhelpful staff who clearly enjoy inflicting their own bitterness onto travellers and enjoy offloading their internal misery. I tried to board a train yesterday with a passenger who's disabled and was clearly in stressed out state. I was a few minutes late for my train due to unforeseen traffic delays on the bus and I could have easily boarded the next train like I usually do if I buy a all day return, however on this occasion I had a set timed return, but Im talking about a train from Victoria to Brighton so it's a fairly local service which is very frequent and always has plenty of empty seats. Was it really such a hassle to allow me to board the next train with my disabled friend and a huge amount of luggage. The person at the gate (Tara) just didn't want to know. After she told us wait to one side by sign language as she had a mouth full of food, she then pointed at the ticket machine and said you have to buy another ticket. It was literally 2-3 mins after we should have boarded and it would not of hurt her in anyway to let us through, but instead we had to buy another £36 train ticket because of her disgusting, unaccommodating, obnoxious behaviour. She could clearly see the stress we were under and I could clearly see it made her extremely happy to make us pay again. I've traveled for many years by train and have only been late on a couple of occasions and when it's happened before the staff have been understanding, however Tara clearly takes pleasure in projecting her hate and misery upon others. The supervisor wasn't much better either and wasn't bothered at all when I complained about her attitude, whilst she stood behind him pulling a sour cherry face and sucking on her own cheeks with attitude. If you have to use this station like I do, then I feel for you as the staff are so unhelpful and infriendly. Tara is clearly not a very happy and decent human being who obviously thrives on other peoples misery. I no longer live in London because of people like Tara, who clearly could do with moving away to a calmer...
