Expensive at Ā£30 a ticket. We arrived 30 minutes before our allocated time of 8pm, but were told very abruptly by an exasperated attendant that the car park was closed so we couldnāt park at the site because it had been raining. This meant we had to park up the road opposite a pub and walk with our iPhone torches in pitch darkness down the side of a 50mph road with no verge round a blind corner. We arrived at 7.50pm to the site and immediately entered the queue for the mazes. The queue took over an hour. We decided to buy drinks in the queue to pass the time (Ā£10 for 1 pint and a half pint)⦠when we finally got to the front, only 2 of the 3 mazes were actually running. The forest maze itself was fun, lots of jump scares and loads of actors. But far too many people cramming round it at once which meant it felt very rushed. The second maze was shorter and a game, which was fun, but was over in 5 minutes. We then went back to the theme park thinking oh well at least we can go on some rides. I thought they would be included for the amount of money we paid to enter, but no it was Ā£5 per ride, per person (4 tokens for Ā£10, 2 tokens per ride).. so for Ā£70 for 2 people (same price as Alton Towers entry) we got 2 mazes out of 3, and 1 ride. The site was a swamp as well, due to the rain, which is not the organiserās fault as they canāt control the weather, but it was ankle deep mud the whole way around the site. Luckily we were in boots, but I felt sorry for those in trainers. After a disappointing time we traipsed back up the road in the dark with our iPhone torches, literally risking our lives to get back to the car. The actors did their best, and the maze in the first was genuinely well made and quite fun, but the organisers really dropped the ball in many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here this evening me and my mum who absolutely is claustrophobic and really doesnāt like scary stuff. We probably spent the majority of the time queueing. My mum was absolutely fine even though staff kept telling her there was gonna be lots of claustrophobic stuff (there was non). At the beginning you are made to wear a sack over your head this but a lot of people off thinking it was going to be all like this (also as someone in front of us said ā covid is still a thing so are they even cleaning these before the next person wears themā)⦠You simply follow the rope for about two minutes and then queue up again and you donāt wear the sack again. however several people quit there and then due to the instructions being very unclear and the man at the entrance (The older man not in costume) was pretty rude. most of the sections were hit and miss but my main point seriously is their were nowhere near enough actors! 4 out of 6 of the attractions had no actors at all during the scare. it was totally sold out and for the money that they are making they definitely shouldāve had a minimum of three actors per part! The actors involved definitely made it three stars without them it wouldāve been a two-one star event. Unfortunately we wouldnāt recommend or be returning unless they seriously put more money into the scary attractions with more actors otherwise itās completely pointless!! well done to the actors but a massive let down by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey got a lot of complaints last year because of the queue times for the mazes, and yes the queues were long but the wait was so worth it that this did not irritate us. Last year we were kept entertained by fire dancers and a really good dj, strobe lights and actors with chainsaws, it really set a good vibe. This year there was no DJ but a pop music playlist (great if your into that, not my scene personally). The actors were very tame and a lot less of them, the fire dancers started about 45minutes into us queuing. A positive new edition during queueing is one of those overpriced green screen photo's (as yes we did buy them). Lasts years highlights included upon entry and brief putting a bag over your head and following the rope to the first maze, the angry Scottish Sargent I hadn't laughed like in along time. This year was "new and approved" but in reality I would disagree. The first and last mazes were pointless and the whole thing lact actors generally. I did however like the new edition at the doctors, being locked in a room by myself and loosing my friends, other then that one maze the whole thing was pretty tame. Yes the queue times were shorter this year but I would have rather waited longer for a decent experience. Disappointing after how good it was last year, bigging it up so much and bringing more...
