China House (New Management) — Attraction in Portsmouth

I ordered two curry's which the menu states come with boiled rice, they both came with egg rice, which is something I'd even added to my order notes as the same mistake was made in the past. There was also an entire chow mein missing for the order.

I then had to spend a considerable amount of time on the phone explaining the issue, as the staff member was adamant my receipt didn't state a particular type of rice and only confirmed there was a mistake once I'd made him check the wording on their own website, which is where I’d ordered from.

They eventually offered to send replacements for the incorrect and missing items, however by this point the correct items in the order were long cold, so I requested the entire order be resent. They stated the kitchen was too busy to make an entire replacement order and offered a minimal partial refund, but when I asked if they were still accepting new orders, they confirmed, meaning the kitchen was in fact not too busy to replace my order and after I highlighted this, they agreed to resend everything.

Upon the replacement order arriving, the delivery driver was extremely unprofessional and rude about the situation, repeatedly remarking “Are you happy now?” in a sarcastic and passive aggressive manner, making us feel like we were an inconvenience and had exploited their service.

This clearly was the restaurants mistake and I don't think expecting the correct you've paid for to be too much to ask. I did not once receive any sort of verbal apology and will definitely not be ordering from here again after the poor level of service I...

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. The first time we ordered we waited two hours for our order, calling numerous times and being fobbed off. In the end we cancelled our order. We tried again tonight and yet again more issues. We ordered a chicken curry and wrote in the notes in caps no onions, no mushrooms. Both curries turned up with them in, the prawn crackers were stale and chewy. We called and spoke to a young boy. It was a difficult conversation with him not understanding. I got him to repeat the replacement order. But when the replacement order turned up- no prawn crackers (we paid £3.70 for these). When we called back we were fobbed off numerous times. It's the best Chinese takeaway in Portsmouth by far and hands down it's above all the rest and this is a fact as there always busy which means that the food is always fresh at all times and the food speaks for itself x me and my partner will never go 2 another Chinese takeaway or restaurant as they truely are an amazing Chinese. The service is really good too, honestly people please try this Chinese takeaway and i promise u that u will not be disappointed x u have my word and my word is my bond. get in there and try it 4 urself u might even get addicted jst like we are.
