Jayme's Boutique Upscale Resale — Attraction in Abilene

Since my move to Abilene, I have been an enthusiastic customer, looking forward to my visits to this this shop.I have worked in retail management and have extensive background in the retail industry. Recently, I stopped by to inquire about consigning at the store. I told the owner I was looking to consign new formals with tags and a very simple, unworn wedding dress without beading and an unworn veil. The woman replied that she did not take wedding dresses because they were a liability. I told her the wedding dress did not have beading, as the formals in her shop. She made no comment and her next statement was “And actually, I’m not taking anymore consigners”. It was after this statement, I knew I would never again give this store my business. I’d like to give the owner the benefit of the doubt, but she clearly didn’t want me there or want my business. If she was truly “ not taking on consigners” it would make good business sense to put a sign on the door or tell me right away. Customers were within earshot and could hear het speaking with me so she quickly changed her vibe and said, “Come back in September. Do you want my number?”. I haveGoogle so I replied, “No, that’s okay” but she insisted, a couple times, so I went along with her knowing I’d never return to the store. Cute store and so easy to shop. Store owner is so sweet and friendly. I would definitely spend my money here instead...
