If they weren't the closest KIA dealership, I wouldn't take my vehicle here. Been dealing with them since I arrived in 2021. And I am glad that we no longer will be here to have to deal with them. My experience with the original dealership in Texas was great, so I figured most of them would be similar. Not the case here. A few months ago I called and left a voicemail requesting a call back as I had an issue with my car key battery being dead and had tried several times after that to get them on the phone to see if I needed to schedule an appointment or could come in. When I advise the front desk clerk, she made an excuse that my concern was not their department, and they were short staffed. Well they ended up changing the battery during my appointment I scheduled. During my appointment, which I scheduled for an oil change online, I also requested to have my tires checked as my tire pressure light was on for one for my tires. I walked away with my tires rotated but my tire pressure was still decreasing on one of my tires after they claimed that there were no issues with the tire. Paid 208 that day. Fast forward to yesterday, I walked in (this time no appointment), told them about the tire pressure issue and that my recirculation feature was not working for my AC. The clerk advised if it wasn't covered under warranty it would be $190. I said ok, that's fine. I just need it looked at as my family is military and we have to hit the road to move next week. The rep called and explained the issue, however, I declined the service because that would be another $500 to give them to fix something. He did not inform me that I had to pay anything before picking the vehicle up. Once me and my husband returned I got hit with the 190 fee (which on my part, I may have misunderstood what he was explaining, but knew it would be explained more once we arrived). We asked a simple question out of curiosity why the diagnostics was not covered under warranty. Both of the gentlemen at the front desk seemed to be a little uneasy and said that it was explained to whoever dropped it off that it would be a fee if it was not covered. That did not answer the question. Finally after a few minutes of going back and forth and me advising them to stop repeating that same statement, we were told it was because my humidity sensor that was placed in the vehicle after I got a windshield replacement was not the original KIA part was the reason why. The constant back and forth was not needed. The guy also didn't seem like he too much wanted to help us as we asked if he can show us what he is talking about because we wanted to take it back to Todd's Auto Glass who did my windshield replacement. He went and printed out a picture and my husband had to ask if he could just show us in the car. I also want to add, Todd advised us that KIA has utilized his services with his previous company for glass replacement and he uses that same sensor for all their repairs that they charged me the $195...
Read moreOn August 12 2021 my oil was changed at Lithia Kia Anchorage service department under the service oil plan purchased with the car in December 2020. The car was a brand new Soul 2021. On September 6th 2021 while driving from Anchorage to Big Lake the oil drain plug fell out on the highway, not even joking. Wish I was. Upon getting the car to Kia I was treated as an inconvenience. The rental car had less than half a tank of gas on issuance when I finally received it at 1700 September 8 2021, after being told I would have it around noon. I had to get a ride to Kia to check on my rental because no one ever contacted me as they said they would when the car was ready. The paper work was fabricated showing the car was brought in full of all fluids. The desk guy proceeded to explain to me scouring from the piston inside the cylinder (yes…the lubrication was gone). The wiring was not even properly retucked back under the dash. See attached pictures. Beware, go to the wasilla location for superior work and customer service skills.
Update. Car was taken in for the check engine light and a sporadic idle (750-1350 RPM). Left the dealership, got on highway and the check engine light was on still. The fix they did was turning my idle up to 1350 RPM……
I have been nothing but lied to and try to be misled by the service department at Anchorage Lithia Kia. The supervisor Moises I have talked to in person. Please do not let his comment on this review asking me to call because he is lying. He just posted it to make his service department look accountable. I have talked to him in person more than once.
I was lied to and told they had an engine in stock the was miss sent and that is way it got done so fast. On the paperwork it shows that they had to send part of the engine block to be rebuilt. I truly am amazed at how a service department can treat a costumer like this and not be held accountable. If I was rich a would get a lawyer. This is chronic unaccountablity by people who are supposed to service, not treat poorly and lie to the customer when you get caught in a mistake.
I understand that mistakes happen, I do them all the time at work. But when I do it, I hold myself accountable. I never wanted anything but honesty and integrity. Instead I got lies, poor attitude and and lack of concern for what is happening in the...
Read moreThe sales team are great! But after you bought the car and do the service, the service department is super unprofessional and unreliable! I went there six months ago, just walking in to get my oil change done, they told me that I have to wait because I do not have any appointment and there priority are the people who has appointment that day. So I said it’s fine, I will drop off the car and just give me a call once it’s done. Last month I booked my appointment online to get a oil change for 11/08/24, I went inside and check in. I ask the service advisor (girl) up front what else needs to be done besides oil change and tire rotation. So she told me crankyshaft needs to be clean and condition, I even ask how long it’ll take she said couple hours. So I said that is great! I need a uber and I’ll be in the area so give me a call as soon as it’s done. Anyway, My appointment was at 10am and I dropped off the car around 9:45am. Around 12nn, I’ve been calling the service department multiple times and nobody answers the phone! I waiting until 2pm. Get the uber back around that time assuming my car is already done because the lady told me it will only take couple hours to do my service today. And I’ve been calling them many time there’s no luck on that. When I arrived there, JOSH told me that the car is not done. I was shocked! He even told me that they didn’t touch the car yet or it’s not even on the bay. they didn’t start working on it yet! So I ask why? I even told him that I have an appointment today and I dropped off the car at 9:45 this morning and now it’s 2:30pm! He told me that there’s a lot of walk ins today and that’s their priority! It’s so upsetting because 6 months ago they told me that I need to get an appointment to get prioritize! And that’s what I told him that they told me that I need to have appointment! He even said because “i didn’t mention to him a promise time to pick up the car”! I hope higher ups will read this and make sure to fix your service department crew and train them more! Because I ended up waiting for car for 3hrs. And that is the reason why I don’t want to wait there for 3hrs doing nothing! I had my car back at 5:30pm which is...
